This is what I have.

Some features of FORscan are free, but you can also get a 2 month extended license trial. I believe you will need the extended license for changing the ABS module.
Man, sorry to here that. So frustrating after waiting that long and then having to deal with this.
It seems like most of these are failing early on. I only have 150 miles on mine, but I am driving from OK to FL in s couple weeks. I guess we will find out.
No worries. You don't have to cut or splice any wires, but you do have to drill the hole if you want put the control knob in the location specified. The pdf file I attached to the thread shows the detailed instructions for the install. If you look on page 11, step 17 you will see the location...
Glad you have been enjoying and good to hear it has no been leaking as I ended up with the soft top too. I would happily deal with the rain and trade locations with you. :D I love the area you are in, hopefully I will get back there sometime.
Even with the factory tow package there is no dedicated spot for the knob. The directions supplied with the part have you put it in the location my picture shows and you must drill a hole to accommodate it. I looked and did not see a better location. It is annoying that there is not already a...
I already had it for towing with my F-150. It gets the vehicle level again and the one I have helps greatly with sway control, it shifts weight off the tongue and distributes it more evenly across the axles. This will also help with tire wear on the back of your vehicle. The front end feels...
Thanks and congrats. We have enjoyed ours (19FBS) and taken it all over with our F-150 - you don’t notice it is even there with it. I am curious to try it at high speed when my longer shank and 7 Pin extension comes in. I know you will definitely feel it back there.
If you have the towing package, yes. The controller comes with a wiring harness that connects to the prewired plug under the dash and connects to the trailer brake controller and another from the controller to the adjustment knob. I do not believe that connector under the dash is there if you...
Hooked up the camper and did some testing today and verified the controller works. I had to put an temporarily put extension on the receiver for my Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch to clear the tire. I will be getting a longer shank for the Equal-i-zer hitch as I do not want to use an...
If you have the tow package the 7 Pin will work with all of you tail/Brake lights, but not the brakes themselves. Also, you don’t have to cut any wires as there is a connector that attaches to the wiring harness. I think the dealer wanted $100 to install it. That may be worth it for some, but I...
Looks great! I was just looking yesterday too see if someone had done this on VB as I was thinking about doing it. I really like the stripe and might just do that.
Also, without the tow package the the plug for the brake controller wiring harness (under drivers-side dash) that connects to the controller is missing.
My camper weighs around 3000 and even with my truck that is rated at 12k pounds I would not tow it at high speed very far without the trailer...
I installed the factory trailer brake controller this evening. As you may know it is essentially the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite.
I went to pick it up from the parts department at my dealer today and they had it marked as paid and part of the deal. It was not, and I told them, but they said they did...
