I did it myself, and am no mechanic. VERY happy with the result. Just carefully follow the very good instal videos online. New car clips dont break as easy as the brittle ones on 10+ year old vehicles. But I understand your reluctance.

You're paying for the proprietary software, not the labor

As others have said, you don't really needs skids on Imogene or Ophir. But you will on Mineral Creek. Black Bear (if open) is mostly skid-free as well. I did all of these in a Grand Cherokee with a 3" lift and all-terrains, and never needed 4-Lo. But Mineral is rough and craggy.

For anyone in or near Ohio, do the Triple Nickel. (Rt 555). About 60 miles, beautiful scenary, LOTS of turns, and fairly low traffic compared to TOD.

I am assuming you are serious. "Homelink" is the universal garage door remote. It's a brand name that is sold to auto manufacturers who use it in their cars. Just like Bang & Olufsen is the stereo brand that Ford installed in my Bronco. So you do want Homelink...
