Very interesting. And those were non sas 4 doors? Sorry, just trying to be very specific.
Just got off the phone with FP tech support. They heard my story. The gentlemen was very interested as well and is going to talk to the engineers after I send him a detailed email about my situation. I...
Thanks I appreciate the info. Gonna install it today and make sure i can drive it in to the dealer tomorrow. I'll update the thread to show if ford service can get it done.
I believe it, but better them do it than me. Incase I mess something up with the cpu and get myself into a bigger mess. I'm likely going to just install it tomorrow and take it in Tuesday as I already have an appt set up to program it with ford service
Ok, I think as long as I can drive it to the dealer hopefully they can figure it out. Should be cheaper than having them do the whole install. It's just programming, hopefully they have figured it out by now
Yeah I've seen similar answers. Then I heard somebody did. Haven't seen answers about installing it and driving it to the dealer while the Bronco isn't programmed
Hard to find clear info on this. I have a NON SAS BB. Currently have the steering rack uninstalled and ready to install the FP rack. Do I follow the same steps as a SAS bronco to install the the program, after I swap the steering rack? If not, can I drive it to ford with the new rack installed...
Thanks for the reply, that's what I'm assuming also...my concern now is that my bronco is a non sas. Their website said this for sas only. Would this bust my bronco?
Here's the procal software paper they sent me.
Did you simply install the new rack and flash it afterwards? Bronco currently on stands and I'm at a stand still. What's my next step?! Thanks in advance
Can someone tell me if I just install the new ford performance steering rack, will I be able to drive it to the Ford dealer so they can do the programming? I currently have the Bronco on stands with the old rack out. I have an appointment with ford service set up for Tuesday already. Thanks in...
This is in the description from the FP steering rack (I have a big bend non sas):
Exclusions: 2021-2023 Bronco 4Dr Base, Big Bend, Outer Banks, Black Diamond, and Badlands that do NOT have the factory Sasquatch Package.
Is there any upgrade to steering rack for non sas broncos? My rack started making some noise. Also when I fully turn the steering wheel, the steering wheel doesn't come back by itself without having to turn it back forcefully. I know there's metal in the rack. Really hoping there's a solution...
