  1. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

You are very much incorrect. The ABS sensors generate electricity as they turn. This information is measured and enterpreted by the vehicle and compared to the wheel speed sensor. If you change the tires, the relationship between the speed sensor and ABS sensor keeps the same linear...
  2. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

I have forscan, when I recieve my bronco I may be able to verify- depending on if my license is still good.
  3. Black Diamond Wheels on a Badlands?

I had this thought exactly when I placed my order!! I would LOVE those steelies on my non-squatch badlands. I fully intend on taking those ugly jeep wheels off first thing, and mounting my 285 stock ko2's to the black steelies! Then I'll sell the badlands wheels to someone to cover the cost. I...
  4. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

What year were they? How much was the change? This new tech is an entirely different animal. The GOAT modes rely entirely on the correct inputs. Be curious to see when someone swaps how this is remedied.... for me 4.46 is PLENTY low enough haha my truck has a 3.55 and makes more than enough torque!
  5. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

Yes they do, and often times it has a permanent ABS light. Hopefully this will not be the case with the bronco, since they know people will heavily modify them! Haha
  6. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

Changing tire size doesn't effect the rate at which sensors are spinning with regard to the ABS system. It's two completely different examples. Your speed sensor and ABS system must keep the same linear relation in order to function properly. Changing your tires makes the diff spin slower to...
  7. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

To the contrary. With different gearing, the ABS system will be receiving different inputs from what was originally programmed... Right now the vehicle knows that at certain speeds the ABS sensors will generate a certain amount of electricity. If the voltage received doesn't match the...
  8. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

Yes you're correct, but thats not what the post was for. I was explaining the difference in gear ratios. Thanks for the reply though bud!
  9. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

Thanks! The whole point was to comfort those with the 4.46 like myself😂 How will you get past the traction control system? The difference in wheel speeds will throw the ABS codes, so im just curious as to the fix!
  10. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

Correct, you do not need it. Though that 5 percent is lost by the increase in size of the bigger tires. The rotational force is increased by the larger circumference.
  11. 4.7 Gearing - Badlands Question

See my thread post on this. I explain as best as I can.
  12. 4.46 vs 4.7 Gear Ratio Discussion

There is a lot of misinformation on here regarding these two gear ratios, so I wanted to put it bed once and for all: Overview: The 4.7 ratio comes standard with the sasquatch package, and cannot be added independently without the entire sasquatch package. THE DELIMMA: I'll start with saying...
  13. Bronco submerged in water during Maine high tide

Was there no way for air lift?
  14. 2.7 engine failure tracking thread - Ford Please!

I have the 2.7 in my f150 and have ABUSED it and had no issues yet. Currently at 125k. However, I wonder why Ford redesigned the 2.7 for the Bronco??🤔
  15. Traction control vs lockers

We are talking about a 7 year old truck. If it did it 7 years ago, I am sure it is more advanced today. What I'm driving at, is that the computer is able to power both front wheels even without a locker on some applications. If you are rock crawling you would have to spin first, so not ideal...
  16. Traction control vs lockers

For anyone who thinks that the traction system won't apply brakes to make a wheel stop spinning, you are wrong! I proved this theory just yesterday in my 2015 f150 fx4. I put two wheels in the air on a gravel pile and let the truck spin for about 10 seconds while applying slight gas pedal, after...
