Yeah, the process and communication is about as clear as mud. I am at a smaller dealer, who happened to get multiple Ticket holders so maybe it was his allocations. But he also is confused by the process. I know he didn't get any other raptors last year other than one of us who held a GT.
I did call the "Bronco Hotline" at Ford today. At least registered formal feedback. Really asked why did dealers get Raptors before reservation holders, now we are stuck with a higher price on the same vehicle. I have little or no hope that it will accomplish much. But, I at least put it out...
I tend to agree, that said if it was in the "fine" print I certainly didn't read it and I suspect no one else did either. I believe all of us lucky enough to get a GT believed (somewhat naively in retrospect) that our Raptors would be built in '22. I know my dealer had 3 allocations, and he...
Mine shows the new 2023 pricing... But the whole thing is a cluster at this point anyways.
Like the original 2021 orders, I feel they should be price protected. Otherwise, hypothetically what would prevent Ford, or a dealer to just keep delaying someone on fulfillment in order to get the unit...
Yup.
I've considered just going back to a 2-door as was my original plan. But, I would be paying more for that than my original price protected deposit.
So, I'll stick with the Bronco Raptor and hope for some sort of a "special offer", but I'm not counting on it. The longer it goes, the...
I too am getting very frustrated with the process and my trust in Ford (the little I had) is waning.
Truth is, I may just want a 2 door bronco at this point, I don't NEED the raptor (who does honestly..)
So while I renewed my order, I'm thinking about all sorts of options with it longer...
Sorry, I've tried to go through a few of the threads. Just wondering if anyone knows if Ford Price Protected those of us selected with a Golden Ticket, but pushed to 2023.
I'm still happy I was selected, but this has certainly been a challenge.
As this goes on and on, I find myself more likely to sell mine. That said, it's not even scheduled. I'm guessing I could even make changes to the build still (though not sure).
But the longer it goes the more I think about the cash!
Well, If someone is going to offer me 160k or even close... I suspect I wouldn't keep mine very long.
Then again, it's not scheduled for production quite yet so who knows when I will get mine.
But if the right offer were to come along I would have to consider selling it.
Going Code Orange… though I’m really torn on colors.
Orange Belts
Lux Pkg
Black Leather
Bags and Locks
Wheel Option 2
Figure Code Orange will hold value the best long term as it’s limited… but who knows.
Was it your birthday? Rumor has that helps. That says, I can not speak from experience. Let us know how it goes.
Just happy I was given a Raptor allocation.
That is what we are talking about here right?
Dorrance Ford, a very small dealer in Galesburg Michigan has committed to MSRP on mine. While I don't know for sure, I suspect he would do the same for others with a golden ticket.
What a great looking Shelby. Truth is, I would probably rather have the GT500 over the Raptor. But I won a golden ticket and I will probably get more use out of the Raptor.
But, you can bet I'm going to buy that Raptor.
Man, wish it was more like 5200… my boat and trailer are 5k. (Yes, For a long trip I would want more cushion, but my of my pulls are 1 hour tops with minimal hills.
It’s not the engine that is the limiting factor, that I am sure of.
If you get it at MSRP, or even a bit above. Yes, 100% you will be able to flip it and sell it at a nice profit that can help offset the costs of your 2 door.
Or, if you want to lower the risk. Buy it, find a Ford Dealer with a 2-door. Trade it for above MSRP (because they will for sure ask...
