I don't think demo/manufacturer vehicles with a soft-top would have anything additional, nor would they waste a hardtop that they would have to eventually destroy given yesterday's admissions. These are being built this way out of necessity.

I'm in the same boat as you. Don't want a soft top, so wouldn't switch if I could anyway.

Easy answer. There is a shortage and build limitations. They don't want to waste hardtops.

Settle down. Don't take things so literally. Build schedule could be extrapolated from a delivery window and vice versa. For those of us that have played the order game before, we know that it only takes a certain amount of time to get from the yard to the dealer. I am not expecting a VIN or...

Not sure how old you or your father are/were, but the money-making days for doctors ended in the mid-80s. Unless you are highly specialized and do elective stuff only, the money is not there anymore.
