  1. I Might Get Crucified for this Post 🙃

Tried Land Rover once, Freelander, looked great, had all the bells and whistles. Picked it up as a Certified Used with 30,000 miles. Sure glad I got the Certified Extended Warranty. Dealer replaced the following all within 2 years: rear hatch window(faulty defroster), entire sunroof assembly...
  2. 2/21/2022 Build Week Group

Just talked with Ford Customer Service to find what my build date would be for my re-scheduled build week of 2/21. Previous build date was 2/10. Was told that they are no longer being given "build dates" to pass on to customers. Advised to contact dealer. Hmm
  3. Living with 2-doors

My '93 Explorer Sport 2dr had the seat launch forward when pulling the release lever with plenty of room to get in and out. I tried a 2dr Bronco at the Off-Roadeo and found it much less workable but I ordered a 2dr knowing the back seat won't be needed that much with both boys out on their own...

  5. Ford CEO Jim Farley Confirms ICE Future for the Bronco and Mustang

It depends on what universe you live in when defining "average Joe". The average U.S. household income in 2020 was $67,000. With starting base price of $44,990 for a Model 3 not too sure many of the average would find that in the budget.
  6. 2/21/2022 Build Week Group

I'm one of the newly bumped ones from week of 2/7 (build date 2/10) to this 2/21 build week. Received the "official" email last Saturday. Hopefully MAP reopens on Monday as previously mentioned. Would be interesting if I get a build date of 2/22/22 since my 1st order was placed 2/22/21.
  7. Ford CEO Jim Farley Confirms ICE Future for the Bronco and Mustang

Correct, Tesla credit did run out but I don't think the average Joe is buying a Tesla.
  8. Ford CEO Jim Farley Confirms ICE Future for the Bronco and Mustang

Hybrids are a bit more realistic. Full EV is not sustainable for the entire fleet without a significant boost in electricity production along with the need for a much more robust plug-in network. In addition, the tax credit of $7,500 is what makes these more price competitive. Take the tax...

  12. Ford CEO Jim Farley Confirms ICE Future for the Bronco and Mustang

Even with a July 2020 "Reservation" the original projection for start of production was somewhere around April with "full" production not expected until June/July. With the incredible number of reservations Ford would have never met the July reservations for a 2021 model. Just do the math...
  13. Ice Mountain Update Video From 2/5/22 Showing New Activity

There were nearly 13,000 units built in January. That's more than 3,000 per week so highly likely there are 3-4,000 units stuck in the corral. That's in the neighborhood of $200 million worth of revenue not collected. No wonder the stock tanked 10% on Friday.
  14. 02/07/2022 Build Week Group

got the Ford email Saturday acknowledging build rescheduled from 2/10 to week of 2/21. Didn't get the window sticker last week like most since the plant was closed Thursday and no rush since MAP is closed at least thru 2/11.
