A couple of months ago like many folks here I upgraded the sound system using the Kicker 200.4. I performed the Forscan changes described in the stereo upgrade thread.
I changed out all of the speakers. All of the 4" speakers were switched out with JL C2-400x. They are pretty good speakers but...
Congrats on the retirement. I was blessed to retire early at 58. I stay busy with chores, lots of hobbies, pickleball and grandkids. Cool thing about retirement is you can do what you want when you feel like it. The pay isn't as good but the hours are great. Stay busy and stay young.
Thank you for your reply.
I have no experience with neoprene seats. Just leather and fabric.
I have an '02 F350 that really needs new leather seats, the Bronco is just a want, not a need. Eventually I am going to wear out the cloth seats where I slide in and out of the Bronco.
I will change...
Thanks for the link. I've bookmarked it for my next NP trip.
Route 66 was great. I researched it for a year before heading out. I never was much of a gPS guy but I did take one on this trip. Saved certain attraction spots so I wouldn't miss them, but I still did. RT66 is combined with several...
Thanks for that info. I've never ran into that situation. Good to know. Guess I was lucky.
Visited 7 NPs on my 2019 retirement ride of Route 66 on my Harley. Circled back through GC and Utah on my way home.
I would recommend getting a National Parks Pass that last for a year good and are good at all of the National Parks. There are several NPs within a days ride of Moab (if you are driving there.)
I have an 02 F350 that I love dearly. Steering wheel was worn badly so I wrapped paracord around it. Love the feel and looks of it. Took $10 and less than an hour. Plenty of youtube videos on how to do it.
If you have small hands you may not like the increased diameter though. If you have large...
Looks good.
I'm curious, my Bronco is raised a bit so I kinda slide out of it when exiting. How well do these seat covers grab the seat? The upholstery is tight so there isn't a problem with me exiting but it seems like there could be an issue with a 'seat cover' stretching over time with my...
Thanks. You are right. Just throwing that out there for ideas. I like the idea of the lock box built into the speaker box, clever.
I enjoy building things. No where close to being a cabinet maker quality but when it's covered with speaker box material it covers any imperfections.
(A battery...
Here is another one with 2 10" subs that I built for our Buick. Sides are made from ripped 2x6s and top and bottom are made from OSB. This unit is fairly heavy.
Looks good!
I'm a cheapskate and build my own. I have built several over the years. They are not hard to do at all. I also use glue, along with screws, when I assemble them so there is no chance of rattles.
3/4" MDF or 3/4" plywood minimum. Here's one for a 10" sub. It's heavy duty and will...
Got mine used with 13k on it. 2 months later it is at 15K.
No commuting , I'm retired, just like driving it. I have a truck and a couple of old Harleys to run around on too but the Bronco is the funnest to drive.
