I bought some fog lights on Amazon a year ago and they leaked and that was the end of them, I was going to get new ones from DD, but decided to go with oracle.
It was flat towed behind a motorhome, the plug is for tail lights, brake lights and turn signals, the other is a brake away plug, if the hitch fails it pulls the cord out and activates the towed braking system that is placed on the floor in front of the drivers seat and attached to the brake...
Yes it is supposed to to be disabled but still if your setup ask if you have a vacuum system it makes a difference, that’s all I have sen others with the RVI set it up for the vacuum System, kinda confusing they need to explain it better so people understand the difference in how it works
The Bronco is not a vacuum system it’s an electronic booster so when setting up the brake system do not choose vacuum booster. I use the setting for panic braking only and do not have any issues, There has been a lot of discussion on this topic, I have the RVI 3 brake and I’m still fine tuning...
I flat tow my outer banks and also use the bumper ”D” ring tabs , without reinforcement. Pulling a Bronco out of a mud hole is a lot harder pull than what it takes flat towing, Once it’s moving there is little load.
You said you had a hot wire to charge the battery for the long days of travel, the power drain on the Bronco battery is from the solenoid that keeps the transmission in tow mode. If you did not have a charger to monitor the battery level it may have overcharged your battery or if it was only...
Ford has updated software issues that elevate that issue with braking systems in flat tow. If you have had no issues and keep you system updated your going to be fine. There is a lots of misinformation out there about flat towing the Bronco.
The dealer was going to replace it, but Ford is making them try the repairs, they tried soldering that didn’t work now the are going to try an epoxy.
Retap the holes , and see if they will hold the torque. Look up the torque spec on a chart that you can google and use a torque wrench, If the threads are so bad that they cannot be just touched up you will have to install a heli-coil .
