Most criminals want something easy to swipe. Although a wheel lock isn’t a guarantee for protection from this sort of crime, it slows them down and will deter some folks. Sorry to hear this happened, OP. People will take anything nowadays unfortunately.

Nice job! Now just need to find a way to make them adjustable up and down (i.e. - Be flexible enough to flex into the wheel well) for off-roading or folks who may want them longer/shorter for various reasons. Probably impossible to do, but would give you a ton of uses!
