I'd leave it to her to make a decision, since it's her Bronco. However even if you wanted to try it out for 20 minutes you wouldn't be able to without being listed as a driver.
The loud squeaking I was hearing from my cargo area was from the rear cargo area glass weatherstripping - Where the seal meets the tailgate door. I applied some silicone lubricant generously along this, and it solved my problem.
In my instance my hard top was an aftermarket one, but others...

I always found it to be annoying in stop and go traffic. In instances at red lights or stop signs it’s a little more tolerable. It’s really not that difficult to push a button to turn it off.
I’m sure there will be a day when that button is no longer on vehicles…
Pfft, you can get waaay more groceries in there. Are you even trying? The trick is to flex on 2 door owners by showcasing you can fit an entire grocery store in the cargo area.
