The wheels and the weird windshield kit definitely need to go, but everything else looks decent enough. Orange is also my favorite color, so that helps.

I'd personally prefer an ABS plastic version of some sort for the weight savings alone. Not thin cheap plastic, but something sturdy would be great! I drew up plans for a simple wooden version, but it requires big holes all over the sides and bottom to save weight.

The Braptor is definitely the best hope we have IMO, but I have no idea if it's even feasible without replacing the entire dash. I'd be 100% content with this dash. One can dream...

What lug nuts are those? I've been hunting for full size factory-style black lug nuts that don't leave an exposed silver ring around the base. Every version I've tried from Amazon has been too skinny.

My old setup used to look like this, and I almost lost the bike to more than one tree branch when off-roading. There was at least one incident where I actually bent the rack itself and somehow managed not to destroy the bike in the process (didn't realize a branch was crushing against them)...

All good ideas! Unfortunately, when I 'm packed for extended overlanding trips, the interior is already stuffed with supplies. Putting the spare tire on top of the wedge RTT may be an option, but I'd be very worried about weight in that case. I might end up putting the bike up there, though...

The tent I'm getting has bars on top that could hold the tray, but I'm definitely worried about height. Even getting the bike up/down while standing on the sliders might be a challenge. I'll definitely test it when the tent comes. Thanks again!
