  1. BYOB (Bring Your Own Bronco) now offered at Bronco Off-Rodeo

So as a friend of mine found out, (most) insurance doesn't cover you taking your vehicle off-road (as in, off of a marked road, even a fire trail) for collision/accidents, but DOES cover things falling on your vehicle when it's parked. So you can't tell them that you were driving on a trail...
  2. BYOB (Bring Your Own Bronco) now offered at Bronco Off-Rodeo

Because I'm 'like that,' I'd probably trailer the Bronc there behind the SD Tremor, drive the Bronc on the trails, then trailer it home. Not to keep miles off, but because I learned a LONG time ago when drag racing, if it CAN go wrong, it'll go wrong when you DON'T want it to, and ALWAYS have a...
  3. Cheapest way to lift? 2” rough country $79?

Rough Country spacers are really meant to give the 'mall crawler' or 'pavement princess' look to those who don't go offroad much, if at all. If you just want the look and don't need functionality, they're perfect. If you want functionality, you'll want to look into other options. This was the...
  4. Best 35s? I'm a girl that drives gravel/pavement 50/50 lol

I had KO2's and they were okay in rain unless I REALLY wanted to get into it, then they'd spin a bit. Go for General Grabber ATx's - they're a little softer than the BFG's but a VERY similar tread pattern, and I've found they're harder to get to spin on ANY surface.
  5. .

Vehicles have been rusting since they were made of steel. This is nothing new. Clean your undercarriage as best you can. Various products exist, some have had good luck, others not so much.
  6. Dreaded "NO KEY DETECTED"

I honestly believe it is our own fault, as a society. I DOWNLOADED all of our owner's manuals for our current vehicles because none of them came with a physical one, and I actually ENJOY going through them to learn what my vehicle can and cannot do. I have always gone through the owner's manuals...
  7. This Turns Your Bronco into a Full-Blown Overland Rig in 15 Minutes!

Very. That looks like it is 3/4" plywood, non-marine grade so a bit lighter, but still pretty hefty.
  8. Turning Off Infotainment Screen by Default ?

Oh I have seen some doozies. Reading the paper with a cup of coffee (a ceramic mug, mind you) in one hand and a donut and cigarette in the other. Doing makup at 80+. Pretty sure one guy was playing a game on his phone. Rolled past a minivan with an aftermarket head unit in it with the park...
  9. Brake help needed!

At this point it would be the easiest route, and considered a painful lesson. With enough determination and proper tools it could probably be torn the rest of the way down and reassembled, but I'd bet the seal will be damaged during removal, and I don't know if that is readily available to...
  10. Turning Off Infotainment Screen by Default ?

As far as I know, emails cannot be read and twitter is disabled thru CarPlay (Cannot confirm with Android as that is a sub-par operating system - iOS has its own issues). Text is done through speech-to-text which can lead to some interesting sentence structures, and I'd rather make calls through...
  11. Turning Off Infotainment Screen by Default ?

Yes. The backup camera is now considered a safety feature across basically all vehicles, as all vehicles have a large blind spot in that area. The backup camera eliminates that blind spot that a child or other object could be hiding in. I find that if I leave it on 'night' mode 100% of the...
  12. Stuck in Production- Bad?

300 miles is excessive for a special order that should really go from the plant to the dealer to the customer, UNLESS a random emissions testing is pulled - in which case they ran the CRAP out of it because something wasn't quite right. For a vehicle that has sat on the lot for a year (like my...
  13. First time pulling Ranger 1750VS boat

Yeah our little 2 door does just fine hauling my FIL's 19.5' Starweld around. Weighs in around 3200 but tongue weight, as with most boats, is almost non-existant. Now, I wouldn't want to run it up north behind it - unless I absolutely had to. It's pushing the little thing right to its limit...
  14. Dammit my neighbors headed to Moab.🤣

This is something I don't get about people who blindly follow their GPS...like, you KNOW it's starting to get bad, your car might not make it...why not back out? I mean yes I followed my GPS down an ORV route once in a crew cab dually...but I had 4wd and knew I wouldn't run into any major...
  15. Dammit my neighbors headed to Moab.🤣

I gotta admit I chuckled at this. BUT at the same time...a good safe way to teach the kid about throttle control without risking damage to anyone/thing. Good to get the kid some seat time. I take my boy out to some of the local forest roads and let him wheel...there are some side trails that...
  16. Questions regarding delivery , service , outer banks

I don't believe I've ever gotten a checklist of things they go through on the vehicle...likely varies by dealer. If the 60 side of the seat won't fold down I would presume you have an issue that should be covered by warranty, and your local dealer should be able to handle it. Out of curiousity...
  17. Bronco Badlands SAS with HOSS vs Ranger Raptor?

This right here. I wouldn't worry about having a backup - you likely won't do it much if at all. And you don't buy a Bronco for its stellar towing capabilities. I have an F350 Lariat Tremor diesel for towing trailers on the road and moving heavy stuff. The Bronco is for enjoyment and the kid's...
  18. Android auto device to play media in bronco

What you are proposing, IIRC, is not legal in many states. Distracted driver laws and all.
  19. How to Disable Startup Screen Animations?

It has done a couple updates, because it has notified me it was going to do them. Still have the rolling rocks. And as others have stated, it comes back.
  20. How to Disable Startup Screen Animations?

Never saw the animation go away on our '24 and it auto-updates whenever it feels like. Everything seems to work as intended.
