Went up to Moab to take on a few trails, hauled a sleeper along with me to the campsite. When the winds picked up we only were able to glide about 100 yards. I had to deploy aero and manipulate the flaps to keep it under control while in the air at times.... It's a brick! It handled fine.

There's a lot of good automotive grade connectors out there. I know ARB uses something similar to a metri pack, because those contacts are rated for the current. Deutsch has larger sizes, I just don't remember what their rating is. Overall good little connectors.

I am not against keeping it modular for serviceability. It's why I also used deutsch connectors for all the AUX wiring in the engine bay. If I need to swap something, I can do it quickly. Same with the weather stripping, keep it attached with the push rivets for easy removal. I can’t tell you...

I have my roof ones on a timer with an extension cord, and then they connect to the inside plug if I run them while driving. I also modified a spare tire light so it sits on the outside of the tire with a wreath and a bow.
