Yup, I have the 5.29 Nitro kit installed and it is running smoothly. I am very pleased with the performance but I am still not passed the break in period to drive it how I normally do. I did quite a bit of freeway driving this weekend where I had to take it up to 70-75 mph and I have zero...
Good question. They had pretty good customer service when I called them during the weekdays. I wish the bottoms front of the plate was a little more rounded to slide up rock obstacles easier rather than having that sharp bottom edge.
It survived the Rubicon trail though and needed to use the...
Let me know if there's any stats you're interested in like rpms and certain gears or miles per hour etc.
I'll be driving around all damn day with college football bets all over 😁
Yup, non SAS manual Badlands is what I have. @Tricky Mike confirmed the specs that I later learned to do: 37÷33×4.7 = ~5.27.
390 miles to go until I can drive it like normal but so far it feeling great. Accidentally went 70+ in 5th and it was fine. I'll know for sure if I regret not going up...
I'll try and get a bunch knocked out this weekend so I can start driving like normal.. til then I'll be the guy "driving real slow in the ultra fast lane"
Just picked it up and only drove it for 15 minutes on side streets back home but initial impressions are that it is noticably slower in normal goat mode (big fan of my unlocked sport mode in the Badlands) but first gear might now be as good as crawler in regards to getting the 37s going easily...
These aren't the RCIs but here ya go.
Mud sprays everywhere but I prefer not having flares on narrow trails. You could just take the OEM flares off but it doesn't look as good with the mount holes.
Appreciate it but I'm all locked and loaded with these guys. Set to take it in on Friday. Out of town a week but it should be ready when I return on the 20th.
Don't have offroading planned so will just put it to the test in the wild SF streets where I typically need to use crawler on the crazy...
Nevermind, the shop confirmed it will work as long as I have the front lockers like someone else mentioned earlier.
Looking like I'd have it dropped off end of next week and done by the week of the 16th ish..
I'm on 37" ridge grapplers myself.
The shop just called hearing that for the front I'd have to replace the whole diff but they are getting a hold of nitro and thier gearing master to find out for sure first.
The shop is legit, they really want to work on it cause they haven't done a bronco...
Total estimate without tax. So likely a bit higher.
I placed all my sports bets before heading up the Rubicon sunday and came out alive, with no real bronco damage on tuesday with a fatter wallet so it's free money well spent.
Will definitely report back
I mentioned it to the shop as well and will have em make sure with nitro. Should be good.
$3200 was my quote and after looking into the install and the amount of fluid etc it's something I'd rather not have to do myself
@Tricky Mike we have the same Badlands non SAS, manual setup right?
Just want to make sure this kit will work for my setup as I'm about to pull the trigger and have a shop do it
