Yep. More angle, more stress. More droop can over extend them and pull them apart. Diff drop is not ideal either. Best solution is suspension lift, possibly UCA's, and upgraded CV's. That's not counting steering/ tie rods.

That's not necessarily true. There are ECU checks for speed and 4lo and we don't know the exact activation method. There have been similar efforts on 3rd gen Tacomas to swap in a factory elocker or enable any time activation, all to no avail...yet. Aftermarket air or e locker is a sure bet...

Squatch is absolutely worth it to me. Lockers, lower gearing, and stronger axles are expensive to add later to support 35s, and you get a warranty. I just took delivery and I love this truck. Very happy with the 2.7 as well.
