I am starting to second guess my decision to stack a zone 1.4" spacer on top of my 5100 shocks(same length as SAS shocks). My carnage has been a stock steering rack and recently a passenger CV joint. My thinking is I am not exceeding usable travel or binding but operating to close to the edge of...
Don't ask what the best system is... I don't believe anyone makes the best. Just sharing what I am seeing with hard use. I know a few will want to talk about guarding the a-arm mounts and a few other details so please do! I am just covering my big ticket items and hope someone else has issues...
So most of us don't really know what is going on inside the drivers side bushing area, I hope to accumulate some knowledge. I will try to leave my BroncBuster personal views out, I hope you do to for the sake of knowledge.
If you do buy a BroncBuster product use my code LXZ-JO3FVMO to get...
Looking at possible trying your shocks, you got a part number for your front & rear shocks? There is absolutely nothing out there for reviews on how they ride you guys do any press on these things?
So I bought a set of roll bar storage bags. I chose these particular ones because they are plain and black. I paid for these because I am a sucker for tool bags and crap like that.

As more people keep posting about recovery gear I figure we should have a technical discussion.
1)First is making sure you control your failure point! You really want the strap or kinetic rope to be the yield point. People put to much emphasis on getting a big strap, you want to have the strap...
Well Kingsburg 4x4 just posted their snow run to Hume Lake, east of Fresno. I am pretty sure I'm going as this is something I use to run when I lived in the area. Usually they have a great turn out, a huge raffle and one of the friendlier groups. Usually it is $30-$50 and included lunch but last...
So my modified factory rock sliders have finally started to show their limitations. The front mount has begun to yield from the relentless ledge humping and rock bashing at the mall. At this time I would advise not having body supported sliders that stick out more than needed. My 4" extra...
These fault codes are an indication of serious damage to the steering rack. Please be advised that you should consider not driving at speed or having the bronco towed if they occur.
Update video, turn volume up to here rattle.
Story, and yes I wheel my Bronco. And I slept on the couch last...
Well I finally have enough mileage on my 5100 shocks to say I like them and post my collection of info. 5100's feel stiffer than Hitachi's due to the digressive valving. If you feel your Hitachi shocks are to bouncy the 5100s would be a good purchase for you. If you are sensitive to small bumps...
Looking for a recommendation for Black 12mm x 1.5 60 degree tapper lug nuts that will actual last more than 4-5 uses before the nut head starts deforming. Would like a set that is smaller than 17mm socket as my KMC wheels don't like anything bigger(already using a special thin wall socket)...
So sport mode is different between my Big Bend and my Black Diamond. Both have/had 2.3 with 10 speed automatic but different ratios 3.73 vs 4.45.
Big Bend with 3.73 in sport mode would limit the transmission to 8th gear, Black Diamond goes to 10th. Big Bend would hold the rpms higher...
How much lift do you want or do you feel is right? I keep bouncing around on how much to lift my Bronco. I went with a 2" lift on my Big Bend and still had issues dragging both bumpers and the belly. For the Sierra Nevada trails I keep telling myself max height, you can lower it latter.
I am...

Things that I didn't think about prior to purchasing. I have had a hard top (Version 2.0) for 3-4 months and just picked up a factory soft top. Couple of noticable things are the soft doesn't open as far. I'm 6ft tall and wacked my head on the soft top, this was an issue with my hard top that I...
