My discussion with Ford Chat today convinced me they were just looking at the backdoor link and blindly saying what was on it. No additional information. No way of knowing on plant hold or not when asked.
I guess I’ll just wait until their damned system updates.
There would be a lot less...
I would feel differently if all the first week reservationists had their Broncos by now, and people with August 2020 reservations had production dates or felt like the wave was coming their way. Ford has delivered over 100000 Broncos, but not to the right people for end customer satisfaction...
@firsttimefordbuyer - I agree with this. Take pics before the shop works on it. Let them do their thing. Get it in writing they refused to replace the panels, and then let @Ford Motor Company know about your problem.
And Jeep continues to up the ante while Ford can’t even deliver the initial Bronco to those who reserved and ordered it.
It’s sort of XJ looking vs Wrangler, and no specifics on capability.
This is what happens when your develop in a California desert and a dunk tank with just water in it 🤷‍♂️
It’s going to be interesting how much this will be a problem on the Everglades.
Congrats! I guess you’re our first actual delivered in the driveway.
Wish mine would get on the train already.
Wonder if @NJBronco has picked theirs up yet?
Yeah, but replacing the tie rod and drag link with a more heavy duty one would not necessitate reprogramming. It’s the IFS steering rack that requires the programming.
Either way, if you choose to compete with Rack and Pinion and IFS, then programmable modularity for components require a beef...
@armand0609  Love that CO. Waiting forever for mine to get here (built - on hold), and thankful I made it in under the wire before CO goes away.
Just curious how the 6100s ride versus the 5100 based ESCV squatch shocks, and also do you know if this increases or decreases articulation at...
I agree with you. If Ford wants to compete in Jeep world, they need to find a way to allow for modifications - even when the software will require changing.
This would not be an issue if it was a Wrangler SFA.
I would be calling Ford and asking if they see your order (you’ll need your four digit Order Code and F+four digit Sales Code from you DORA Order Summary).
Ask them to confirm they see your order, have your email address correct, and also your mailing address.
Agreed. Also, I haven't built and priced a 392 Wrangler with Xtreme Recon, but that is the direct competition they are most closely aligning to I would imagine.
I called Ford Performance. Last week I had been told “released, ETA 9/7 - 9/13”, yesterday the tracker flipped to “Built” and the backdoor shows ETA 9/18-9/24, also received the Built email this morning with the 9/18-24 ETA.
So I called Ford Performance this morning to find out which is it...
Ugh - Ford Performance says Built / On Hold at Plant too. ETA 9/18-24, which they are going to miss if they don't get it on the train by this time next week.
Meanwhile…
