  1. What Made You Fall in Love With Off-Roading?

My uncle had a '66 Bronco that he bounced me and my cousins around the southern NM desert, in the early 1970s. Older sister had 2 Jeeps. Interesting, but not stimulating. Every Jeep rental I had was uninspiring. They got me placed in the desert Southwest or volcanic areas of Hawaiian Islands...
  2. Thoughts about my Bronco from a Jeep guy!

OK, maybe this old dog will try a new trick. Thanks.
  3. Ford offering Navigation after trial - is it worth it?

Year by year ... If you pay this year, the current technology and the apps available on your phone *next year* may obviate the need to pay in the future. Your phone advances faster than your vehicle.
  4. Thoughts about my Bronco from a Jeep guy!

Maybe I should default to Sport mode, rather than the Normal or Eco (long highway trips) modes I typically use. 🤔
  5. Thoughts about my Bronco from a Jeep guy!

... and the original military vehicles were ..... yep ... Fords. 😎
  6. Thoughts about my Bronco from a Jeep guy!

Yes, I would note for me, personally, the 2.3 was not enough horses to adequately move the Bronco around. The 2.7 automatic has been a gem for me. I would, however, like smoother shifts for the first 3-4 gears. But, I'm not willing to pull the trigger for the performance calibration upgrade...
  7. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

It was only an imagined recall ... does not exist, until a letter declaring it is transmitted. I'll act appropriately surprised, whenever it arrives. However, NHTSA believes it still exists.
  8. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

Yep, sounds same as last year's rebate/finance deal. I made a $1,000 down payment to secure my '25 HE Bronco last year, though, technically, the deal was not "consumated" until 1 October (when I *actually* sent the funds electronically) although I verbally committed in writing to buying the...
  9. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

Great job. You may have gotten really lucky, as supply and demand usually works the other way around. e.g., highly limited supply, higher demand for those scarcer resources, higher price.

  11. Where Does Your Phone Usually End Up in Your Bronco? 📱

BTW, if you think your phone is just a "phone," ... it's not. It's a computer which talks to your car .... which is also a computer. Through Bluetooth and Android/Car play, many other important background apps can be accessed and displayed on the big screen. I think most ( OK ... some?)...
  12. Where Does Your Phone Usually End Up in Your Bronco? 📱

    A "nice-to-have" for sure.
  13. Where Does Your Phone Usually End Up in Your Bronco? 📱

    White tooth enabled? 🤔
  14. Where Does Your Phone Usually End Up in Your Bronco? 📱

Looks like the same model that I use. I slide it up closer to the rear view mirror and then turn the phone horizontal when needing access to the hero controls.
  15. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

Thanks. I think I missed this info released initially last Thursday. Three notes, however ... 1. Looks like dealers can sell used vehicles, then those owners would just get in in line like the rest of us for repairs. 2. "No letter required" could imply a feeding frenzy when the gates open...
  16. 35x11.5 on a Sasquatch – Bigger or Smaller? I finally have my answer…

While we are on the topic of rain .... we get a bit of that stuff here in the Lowcountry of SC ... and I was literally shocked a couple of weeks back when my Bronco with only 8K miles on the factory Goodyears slipped badly ... twice ... in the same day. That power to weight ratio deal with the...
  17. Recall 26S55: 2021-2026 Bronco - Engine Compartment Wiring Harness Repair [July 23, 2026] -- 590,000k units affected

I literally scoured under the hood of my truck for over 30 minutes yesterday. Surprisingly, everything looked very good. To be sure, however, since I had a good bit of thin velcro wrap available and a couple of plastic zip ties, I made extra space in about 3 places just to get more...
