According to Ford (as report in Car and Driver on eh 2.7 engine) the Port Injection system is active at low RPM and low loads. As RPM increases mapping moves across to a blend of Port and Direct injection but the Port Injection always has about 10 - 15% of the fuel supply

Ford marketing literature promotes the Base model as not needing the Sas package and that this is then the platform for the Owner being able to undertake any after market work that he/she wants. From that I would understand that you can tire up as you want without first having the SAS included.

I would expect that Ford moves closer to actual production that the quality of the end produce is being refined. I would be very happy with the new color and finish.

Hopefully this is the variant of MIC colour that is maintained into production as this will look damned good.
