Yeah I wasn't suggesting that at all. Why did you wait so long to nail down pricing with your dealer? I had settled on the Granger deal before I even made my reservation. No way was I going to go with a dealer before knowing the details, especially since so many will gouge buyers.
My guess is...
If that's true and less than 2% of orders are non-late availability, that would mean EVERY RESERVATION qualified to place a MY21 order within that 2% will get their vehicle in the first batch of allocations. Right? What am I missing?
Me thinks the 80% scheme was Ford's way of appeasing dealers bitching and moaning about not getting dealer stock for the first year or two. I mean if you could convert 2 out of every 10 sales to dealer stock where you could charge $5K markup, wouldn't you?
Not to mention the additional vehicles...
Dealing with car dealers always feels shady. :)
The process is not like ordering a burger at Burger King. It is a drawn out process. If you had dozens/100s of orders to enter, you would want to start now too. Granger had 2 or 3 people doing it and it took them weeks just for their first...
I'm sure you're right. Problem is, anyone purposely waiting for a 22 is doing so for options not yet available on a 21 (for me its roof and body colors). And if I have to order now I am not going to give any thought to what options to include. So whatever I put on an order March 21st is going to...
Converting by March 19th is not the end of the world. Ford is asking you to do that anyway. Convert, tell your dealer you want a MY22 and have then classify your order with temporary code 99 (do not build).
yeah, Ford is trying to get as many reservations converted as they can, even those who plan on waiting to 2022. Trying to inflate their conversion stats for marketing purposes, no doubt.
This forum would be a lot easier to browse if there weren't so many duplicate posts.
Doesn't anyone use the search function? Use it, 99% of the time here you question has already been answered.

You guys are being way too harsh. We are rabid fans. Trolling this forum hours a day to learn even a morsel more information about our beloved vehicle. A dealer is worried about their next sale so they aren't disappointed with next week's paycheck. They get paid based on sales, you know. A...
Ask your dealer if they received any Bronco allocations from Ford. If they did, and you are first in line at the dealership, then you would get your Bronco much sooner than 2022. Late summer to early fall 2021 like everyone else who was first in line at their dealers.

Ford has answered both ways on this. An older answer was that reservations automatically transferred to MY22 if an order is not...
