This link *only* works if you paid the $100 for a Bronco reservation on ford.com. You replace the Xs with your 8 digit reservation number. This will not work if you went into a dealer and placed an order without first having a reservation.
I assume it's called the "back door link" because you...
The "back door" link updated 3 weeks ago with a 4/11 build week. Dealer didn't have a VIN. Bronco hotline was able to give me one. I just got the email today. Looks like I'm partying in here with you! Woohoo! (A51 OBX 4D Advanced OBX MIC 2.7 Tow)
The $100 reservation at ford.com basically gave you a timestamp which is supposed to be one part of how the build orders are calculated. At this point, it's mostly about which parts Ford has, and how many vehicles your dealer is allocated, and then your timestamp matters.
The order banks are...
I'd prefer to think this than something more nefarious. I mean, if you ordered an MY21 on Oct 1, you'd still have had to re-order an MY22 later in the month. Based on what I've seen posted here over the last year, I'd guess there is more than one dealer out there that figured Ford switching the...
The backdoor link says I have a production week of 4/11. The dealer couldn't find a VIN. I just called the Bronco Hotline. They were able to give me the VIN, but said I didn't have a production date yet and that the tracker showed I was still in ordering. I haven't received any emails. This is...
A VIN usually becomes available when you are scheduled for production. If you didn't have a reservation where you paid $100 on Ford.com and chose a dealer (which I think they stopped doing in Oct 21), your vehicle doesn't show up on Ford.com without entering a VIN.
Did you have a reservation? Or did you walk into the dealership and order? I'm reasonably certain that vehicles pre-VIN *only* show on your account if you had a reservation. Otherwise, if you walked in and ordered, you are at the mercy of your dealer for info. Hence, the message to see the showroom.
My understanding is that the tow package you get at the factory is 7 pin and the one you can get at the dealer is 4 pin. They are not the same. Depends on what you need it for.
I didn't get an email and I checked spam. I don't have anything new on the regular tracker, but on the "backdoor link" I see a production date with an updated image that was not there yesterday.
After the last round of scheduling last month, I waited a week and called the dealership. They...
I seemingly got scheduled today. The backdoor link, which said I was still ordering yesterday, now says production date 4/11 and the image was finally updated to the right color and model. I called the dealer a couple weeks ago and I was not scheduled. 7/19/2020 res. March 19 2021 order. OBX 2.7...
My image also just updated on both the regular and backdoor link(it was AMB forever then blank), but the backdoor link also JUST UPDATED WITH A BUILD DATE of 4/11!!!
I thought they weren't scheduling? Yesterday nothing. I spoke with the dealer after the last round of scheduling and wasn't...
No email for me. 7/20/20 reservation. March 17th 2021 Order. October 2021 re-order. Last email from Ford for me was the confirmation of my October 2021 re-order on 11/2/21.
You have to put your reservation number where the xxxs are. It won't work as-is. If you don't have an 8 digit reservation number converted to an order number, you can't use it. Folks who ordered at dealers with no res are out of luck.
I've driven a Wrangler for the last 25 years and have to essentially replace the windshield every other year due to chipping and cracking. It's usually a semi in the lane next to me and slightly ahead. So this is very interesting.
