  1. 2021 Bronco Packaging Guide

Button schmutton. My daily driver still requires a real key to unlock it. And it's a 2018.
  2. Lux Package Buyers - Cost/Benefit

I wonder how many buyers won't even know what B&O stands for, and won't bother to learn.
  3. Bronco Longboard Concept – 2DR LWB Imagined

Looks cool but impractical. I'd rather have a 4-door for overlanding. For this to be a nice overlanding rig, you'd need a pretty elaborate drawer set-up inside. Otherwise, I can promise that you'd be reaching waaay into the back a lot. Doors provide easy access. Rear seats make nice dividers...
  4. So no 4dr BD, mid pkg, manual trans option?

Forgive me, but what's so great about the Mid package? Aside from heated seats, I see nothing here that I couldn't easily forego. Would some of this be nice? Sure. But this issue wouldn't push me to spend the extra $$ for a Badlands. I could live without heated seats.
  5. Bronco Warthog or Heritage Edition? Ford will reveal a never-before-seen Bronco model on Wednesday

God, Lightning Blue is so hot. I'll probably order Velocity, but I'd pay extra if I could get Lightning.
  6. Let’s solve the GVWR and payload issue once and for all

Please explain the link, then. The JL's door sticker shows 850. Jeep publishes 1,310. How do we reconcile this? I think we reconcile it because tires play into the equation. The payload is 850 on the OEM tires, which are probably P-load, and that's why the door sticker says 850. What's...
  7. Let’s solve the GVWR and payload issue once and for all

The door sticker number is not the official payload number. Here's a Jeep JL with a door sticker that says 850 lbs. The published payload for it is 1,310 lbs. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/payload-850.13781/
  8. Let’s solve the GVWR and payload issue once and for all

816 lbs is a perfectly believable number, but I'm fairly certain it's derived based on the tires, and not any kind of max payload capacity. This same sticker on my 5th gen 4Runner says total weight, including passengers, should not exceed 835 lbs. Yet Toyota lists the payload capacity as 1,495 lbs.
  9. Confirmed: Sasquatch with manual transmission Bronco will be 2022 model year

Trust me: None of us who are interested in a manual Sasquach are doing it to try and save money. It's definitely not a money thing. In fact, I'd happily pay extra for a manual if that would cause Ford to offer it with the 2.7.
  10. How to build an overlander knowing the weight?

    Sir, I am not a masochist. ;)
  11. Sound deadening headliner on Bronco top (first photos)

Know what would really reduce inside temps? A white hard top. I hope Ford pulls the trigger on that option.
  12. How to build an overlander knowing the weight?

I've been overlanding for 12 years now. My $0.02 is that overlanders need to chill out with the weight, for starters. I see guys running all sorts of drawer systems, heavy RTTs, and unnecessary armor, all of which absolutely murders your vehicle's weight. Let's call it the "Overland Journal...
  13. Sign Petition for MANUAL transmission with V6 2.7 Ecoboost

I would buy a 2.7L MT in a heartbeat. I've traditionally gone overlanding in manual rigs (the current 4Runner is an exception) and I prefer a manual. But the 2.3L doesn't really move me. A 2.7L MT would be very unique in the marketplace. I believe it would draw out a lot of MT lovers, as it...
  14. ?Cactus Gray Black Diamond with steel wheels (2-Door)

Those steelies really need black lug nuts.
  15. MIC Hardtop vs Modular Painted

Gotta disagree with this second point. The black Jeep hardtop scratches just as easily as paint. Ask me how I know! What I really wish is that one of these companies would offer a bedlined version of the hardtop. Related: One advantage of a painted hardtop is that you can apply PPF to it. For...
  16. New here, probably getting kicked out for first post, but I think the first buyers are making a mistake.

Strange take. Jeeps aren't the most reliable vehicles in the world, yet Wranglers are re-sale rock stars. And Ford has been offering both of the Bronco's engines for years now. Again: not a major area of concern. Where I do think there will be some hiccups is in the integration of all the...
