Unpopular Opinion:
Toyota does not intend to sell many of these here. They'll infinitely constrain supply and only allocate a small percentage of production for the US.
Back of the envelope prediction: 2025 4runner is close to the same size, made in Mexico, and more American-centric like the...
Simply put. They’ve already spent the money on the development and tooling. The cost to introduce is the marginal cost of federalizing it. It will thread a narrow void between the GX overland/Sequoia TRD PRO and 4Runner TRD PRO.
They’ll sell 20,000-30,000 of them and that’s a success. The Land...
I do find it interesting that Toyota can make the business case for 3 midsize body on frame SUV’s. Ford could probably sell as many Everests as they sell Bronco. .
Nissan, GM, Kia, and Mitsubishi sell some globally and won’t federalize a single one.
Also, a $58k GX is less capable than any...
Bronco sales flat lined in 2022. It is not a product that will ever be a huge seller. Ford will finish 2023 roughly where they were in 2022.
Ranger+Bronco is capacity limited and they're not building any more ICE capacity anytime soon.
I have the Bilstein 6100 to install on a non-sasquatch Badlands. I went to order the Sasquatch springs and used a Wildtrak VIN to pull the part numbers. Ford Parts has the part number for revision N as being for both the Badlands non-sasquatch and Wildtrak. I figured it was close enough...
I bought a male end of a 12v plug and just tuck it underneath the rear cargo are. When I want to use the trailer lights, I just plug it in. I didn’t want them
Powered all the time
You're entitled to a no-cost dispute resolution system. I recommend you arbitrate it if you feel as though they've unfairly denied a warranty claim.
I have successfully fought a major automaker on a warranty issue. I would fight Ford on this issue if you feel as though you're in the right.
I've used the Valvoline Extended Performance from the Walmarket. It's been very affordable and runs well. I have a huge closet of oil to go through. Historically, I have really like GTL base oils like Pennzoil Platinum as well.
It’s nice. I might be cajoled into buying one.
The Colorado and Ranger are reskins and light on much innovation. It’s interesting to see Toyota putting the most money and energy into pushing the envelope.
I like it, especially the interior. They are going to be the most-sedate design in 2024. The Frontier is perhaps more staid. The 2023 Canyon, 2024 Tacoma, and 2023 Colorado look aggressive and more expensive. I'll away final judgment until the full reveal, but its kinda boring.
I don't think anyone is surprised by the 2024 Tacoma. The 4Runner will look similar.
Its the first all-new Tacoma in 20 years. I hope they do a good job.
I'm interested to see if the '24 Bronco gets light powertrain enhancements to align it with the '24 Ranger.
If look at the oil at 5,000 miles, it will appear very dirty and smell diluted.
If you test the oil at 5,000 miles, the results will very likely show lots of life left and minimal dilution.
I change mine fairly frequently because I enjoy it. I will also admit, its not very necessary.
I purchased my ESP from a different dealer than sold me the vehicle. No matter what some F&I person tells you, there is not a marked difference in buying one at 1 mile or 11,999 miles.
Take your time, read the contract, read the contract again. Consider it.
My personal objection to most of...
I had the navigation in a 2018 Colorado. It was worthless, like every OEM nav unit. I have navigation and satellite radio in both of my vehicles. I do not remember ever using either on purpose.
Use Waze or Google Maps, you’ll thank us all later.
I’ve had a Non Sasquatch Badlands for about a year. I’m not a fan of the Sasquatch rims and tires so that kinda bothered me. I did the off rodeo in Moab with a Non Sas Badlands.
I take mine off road. I have yet to scrap anything on the middle of the vehicle.
