Happy to see Ford is starting to advise that it is a chip issue. We are the last of the 21s and as we have seen 22s dropped the temp display in the knobs. So, that may be tied to our chip hold up, or maybe we will be hybrid 21/22s and have the 22 knobs. We will see.
Ford has to keep the production line moving. Huge impact to shut that down. F150’s in some boat. If you have a built email your delivery delay is most likely drivers.
Ok, so I just had a very nice and straight forward conversation with Ford CS. Mine is delayed due to CHIPS. Also, she said drivers are a big impact to delivery. She could not see an updated build date nor EDD at this time. I stressed how important it is for Ford to communicate this to impacted...
First time I heard they are admitting the holds are Chip related. Not a surprise. Just wish Ford would admit and communicate they are waiting on parts (chips) and give us some realistic delivery expectations.
They will never shut down the production line. They will allocate parts when surplus is available and backfit ours. That’s exactly what they did with the MIC issue.
Mostly likely the temperature display was removed from the knobs so they could reduce chips. They just added a software upgrade to the main center display.
Same here. 12/10 blend with EDD saying 1/23. Not a word from Ford or dealer. At this point I’m over it and have learned to just live with it and may hear something before Spring. By the way my neighbor’s 22, which he ordered in Sept 21 without a reservation, is coming up on its first oil change.
I have not seen any discussion on that either. I do know there are a lot off 2021 VINs still saying “In Production”. They went down the line and then put aside for various reason, (QC, parts shortage, etc.). Ford is not providing specifics. Customer Service keeps saying in production as we...
I’m part of the 12/6 Build week “lost batch”. Since 12/6 was the last 2021 build week I’m assuming parts where prioritized to ensure the 12/15 2022 start date. No way Ford was going to miss that date. Some of the 12/6 build week Broncos are now shipping so hopefully I’ll get my 2021 OBX Bronco...
473 days and crickets from Ford and the dealer. Picked the wrong dealer for sure. Neighbor walked into different dealer in Sept 2021 with no reservation. He is almost ready for his first oil change.
CS is telling us what they see. We are still in production. I’m sure some of our parts where reallocated to 22s. Ford was not going to miss the 12/15 date. Therefore ours need to go back thru the production process to get finished, built. So we are 21s that are being produced alongside 22s.
