I placed my order with the dealer on 11/2. My dealer reached out in January letting me know I had a build week of 2/14 (later got updated to build day of 2/16). I haven't received an update since late January and quite frankly, I'm scared to ask at this point. Welcome and good luck!
I've never received any emails from Ford. I ordered on 11/2/2021. My sales rep gave me my VIN in early January with a preliminary build week of 2/14/2022 (and later a build day of 2/16). He's sent me screenshots whenever I text him for status updates. It'd be nice to get an email someday.
Congrats! You got her just in time for our couple days of winter. I have a build day of 2/16 so to see you got yours a month later is promising. Enjoy your new ride!
I reached out to my sales guy and he shared a screenshot from his system showing it updated from “week of 2/14” to “day of 2/16”. Fingers and toes crossed…
I found out about my build week from my salesman about 3 weeks ago. I'm gonna reach out to him today to see if the same still shows in his system. As of today, I have yet to receive any emails of any kind.
I was told the same thing although I did pay a refundable $100. He said I could refuse it up until the day it arrives on the lot. If I didn't want it, it would become part of their inventory and it would get sold.
I ordered 11/2/21 and got a vm from my dealer today letting me know the status updated with a production week of 2/14/22. He texted me my VIN and order# and I was able to look it up in the order tracker. Before today, I would just text him for status updates and he would send me screenshots of...
Exactly this! I keep perusing other vehicles and daydreaming in the meantime but it's posts like this that keep me focused on the prize. Mine is still in "order processing" so I'm still a ways away from this becoming reality. Congrats OP on the great ride and appreciate the detailed post.
That one week of snow last year was enough for a while lol But hey, when the next "winter" rolls around we'll be ready...if/when my order comes in, that is.
I think the solution to this is something like the 10 year warranty a company like Xpel offer. If it yellows, cracks, etc they’ll replace it for free including labor. Still, not sure if that’s enough to convince me of the price. I think a new paint job would be about the same price.
@BroncoSarge What mat options did you order yours with? I'm having trouble understanding the floor mat options on B&P. Liners with/without carpet mats? Upgraded carpet mats? I'm just wondering what one gets if you exclude these options during the build.
I came here wondering the same thing. The descriptions and pictures are way too generic. Being the same price for all three doesn't help things.
And If you don't select one of these options, what are you getting?
