Thank you for responding, I will follow your instructions, my other question concern is that the Memphis speakers have a max RMS wattage of 125 ( no minimum RMS wattage) the amp is definitely underpowering them.
I have the Memphis MJP6s on my kick panels and not sure why there is almost no base from them, the factory speakers sounded better and they are probably on 50 watts, I wonder if the reason is due to them being shared with the dash speakers. also, the Kicker key limiters are coming on around 20...
For the pods you will need to increase that volume thorough out forescan, The amp will fix that though,
You might want to do that direct power and ground from the battery cause mine go out about volume set to 20. I hate it!!!!
Same here , I think spending $300 on kick panel speakers that sound not as good as the original ones was probably a bad move. Other than that Im happy with the install, one con is that the sub only sounds good when is at high volume. Low volume sounds like rattle of popping.
I did the same but seems like I have to engage the DSP settings every time I turn the car back on. Other than that it sounds great with the Sub in the back
Anyone knows why I have to manually engage the DSP button on the microphone every time I turn the car on ?
Also I have the glove compartment bracket , I guess is the updated version with the two tabs bended on the sides. How in the hell you position it so you can screw it from the bottom????
Same here, was going to leave the original kick panel speakers since they had more bass but it was cutting out like crazy. Replaced all 6 speakers with Memphis and added a single downfire 12” sub in the back. Sounds super clean and that boom is deep.
I have to check what the problem is then. Im going to put them back in the kick panels, all speakers are 4 ohms. If there is a grown issue that is making them cut out, that’s the hardness then.
troubleshoot time
I found these guys but Im not sure I want to get rid of that compartment that you can place small items etc.
I also Think that for what it cost you can have aN audio shop make a custom plate. I can make it but I don't have a table router...
I installed the original 6.5 speakers back and they sound ok for know :/
Did you run the DSP Setup with the mic and the gain TURNED ALL THE WAY DOWN? Yes
Did you turn the treble / mid / bass on the factory stereo control all the way OFF? I reset them to normal
Did you turn off speed...
Yours sound better than the stock 6.5s ?
I am trying to see where is the issue. Did you get the speaker hardness from Crutchfiled ? Metra 72-5602
I had to cut them since there is no connectors on the sub. So I plugged black on black and white on red.
