Dealer ended up replacing the hood under warranty. New hood was slightly better but still fluttered. Iāve since sold that bronco and Iām driving the one I originally ordered and it has about the same amount of flutter. Iāve just learned to live with it. Some day if it drives me crazy again Iāll...
I had my service appointment last Monday and they confirmed my suspicions. They determined the oring inside the clamp isnāt sealing right. Unfortunately the clamp is on national backorder with no eta.
I didnāt check the rear seal at all. My wind noise is similar. Gets quieter if you put your hand up near where the two panels meet in the front. Feel like adding some extra weatherstripping up there.
Had the front panels off for the first time yesterday and noticed this weird little plastic pin thing stuck in the front weatherstripping. Didnāt notice anything like this anywhere else on the seals. Gave it a tug and it didnāt want to come out but also I didnāt want to yank it out in case itās...
Update: Found another thread with a video of a noise that sounded just like mine. They determined it was an exhaust leak from underneath the driverās seat area.
After getting under it and poking my head around Iām 95% that is my issue as well. Looks like whoever put this clamp on didnāt quite...
This sounds like the noise mine is making.

Never thought it would be an exhaust leak. Iām going to crawl under there and check it out. Iāll report back on my findings.
edit: update: it does in fact seem to be an exhaust...
I havenāt been thrilled with my Diode Dynamics SAE fogs so Iām excited to give these a try.
Do you know if these take the same plug as DD lights so I donāt have to switch out my harness?
Hereās a quick vid with a few quick little throttle taps in park and the noise it makes when shutting off. I have an appointment with my dealer but itās a month out.
Update 4/21: Dealer installed a new clamp, noise is gone.
Update 4/17: dealer confirmed itās an exhaust leak. Clamp is on national backorder with no eta.

Searched and didnāt see much on this. I had a ā21 2.3 before this so Iām used to...
Iāve been running Broflaps (found on Etsy and made by a member) for about 2 months now. Love how minimal they are but still do the job. Super easy install and were pretty cheap. Only gripe is the fronts require a small self tapping screw into the underside of the flare. Wasnāt thrilled about...
I like the idea of these but this is what Iām worried about:
1. The harness taps into the headlight wiring and since mod bumpers donāt have fogs, Iām guessing these will just turn on with the headlights. So you wonāt have any control of them.
2. I donāt see any mention of sae compliance or...
Showroom shot:
Officially one week into ownership. Still surreal seeing it sitting in my parking spot. Night and day compared to my old 21 Big Bend that I was driving for the past year.
Well it was a long day yesterday but mine is finally home. Dealer I bought it from gave me a crazy lowball for my big bend trade in. $30k! I laughed in their face and told them it was insulting. They wouldnāt budge. ā21 4 door Bb mid non sas with tow and locking diff, 13k miles and they come at...
I don't know if 4x4leds offers something similar ( i poked around their site and didn't see anything) but this is the cleanest/easiest option i've found. Just wires them into the headlights so that they are tied to the orange parking lights...
