  1. Is ICON the only maker of hub centric 93.1 wheels?

Hubcentric is better, stronger, and less likely to vibrate or fail than Lugcentric. Lugcentric the studs and lug nuts are doing two jobs (clamping and centering) and thus have a higher possibility for failure. (Bending or shearing).
  2. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

The Special Service Support Center isn’t going to “pre-approve” a multi day rental in advance. The “pre” here means that before they can be reimbursed for any additional days of rental your dealer would have to provide SSSC with a valid explanation for some delay that causes the repair to take...
  3. Loaner for Windshield Recall Repair? UPDATED 9/8/22

Ford does cover the cost of 1 day of RENTAL in this particular case. & yes, Ford pays the dealership for the parts required and for a predetermined amount of technician’s time (in this case sublet glass shop and body shop labor) to perform the recall.
  4. Loaner for Windshield Recall Repair? UPDATED 9/8/22

Not all dealers even have a fleet of loaners. My medium sized dealer handles roughly 75 service appointments daily. We only have something like 20 new vehicles in inventory on our lot at the moment (we normally have hundreds). The thought of most dealers having “extra” cars sitting around to...
  5. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

I’m not sure I understand your question, but it is a brand new Field Service Action that was just released days ago. The “C” in 22C12 typically designates it as a “customer satisfaction” "compliance" program rather than a “S” program which would be for Safety. but to be clear they are saying...
  6. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

"micro cracking" huh. Is that like a mega pint?
  7. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

(Update: I spoke to my body shop and glass shop today. The body shop didn't even want the Broncos brought to them. They have been doing these on F-150's and Mach-E's for a while now. They say that in most cases they don't have to do anything and that the glass shop can indeed usually handle...
  8. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

it may not make sense, but it is happening. It wasn’t “scuffed” from the factory. So now removing all of the old urethane in order to properly abrade the surface can require grinding. That’s where the primer coat may be required. If none of this was true why would these recalls have to be...
  9. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

NOTHING is special about the windshield. THE ENTIRE RECALL is because the urethane is not sticking to the paint!!! THAT is why they have to grind out the adhesive and prime the body! I don’t think I can say it any clearer.
  10. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

Reading comprehension is hard I guess. I can assure you that Safelite did not sand or paint (prime) the body of your wife’s vehicle or have to wait for it to dry while they had the windshield out. Let’s start a poll and see how many people get this recall completed in 2 hours. I predict that...
  11. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

    1) you have to take it to your dealer (who may not even have a body shop on site and therefore may have to sublet it out to a collision center). 2)then they have to have a 3rd party glass vendor come out and remove your windshield (hopefully in 1 piece) 3)the now windshield-less vehicle goes...
  12. New Windshield Adhesion Recall 22C12 announced for 2022 Broncos

Hi all. It looks like a new windshield recall 22C12 just dropped today (June 28th) on 2022 Broncos build between December 8th and April 12th. Reason: "inadequate urethane adhesion" which means that the windshield could possibly come loose in the event of a crash. Affected vehicles could also...
  13. Toyota Pickup

So, “you’ve never seen anything as messed up” as the Bronco that you haven’t even seen yet and you are sure is filled with defects because your imagination tells you so? You should probably buy the Toyota.
  14. JcrOffroad - prototyping begins!

that’s an “interesting” license plate mounting solution you’ve got there!
  15. (UPDATED) Rotational squeak / squeal noise below 30mph after driving

<<<Update 6/17/2022>>> I finally took some time to install the front driveshaft last Saturday. Can confirm after several test drives that the sound IS GONE!!!
  16. Windshield replacement; losing the Bronco logo on the glass

You just have to ask for the OEM Ford / Carlite glass. Glass shops don’t typically use factory glass unless you specifically request it. & it’s gonna cost a little more than aftermarket.
  17. Backup camera??

Backup Camera alone doesn’t give warning beeps. You’d need the park assist option which includes small round sensors in the rear bumper to get the audible tone. I believe this requires at least the “Mid” package.
