Congrats! Didn’t realize you were in Austin. Every bit certainly helps in that brutal summer heat. I’m from there and Sunbusters had me on file, for sure. Pics?
I’ve had it in the past and loved it (on my wife’s black minivan, which had a huge windshield and dash) but my tint guy actually said he wouldn’t bother on my (also black) Bronco. Nearly vertical glass, plus it’s relatively small, and the entire roof is going to let in a ton of heat anyway.
I admit, I personally think that’s overkill for a 15a circuit, but when you’ve spent this much money so far and you’re not skimping on the sub, I’m sure you won’t regret just doing it right. And I’m sure it will make a huge difference in sound!
The instructions specify 8ga wiring going all the way directly to the battery, with an inline fuse within 16” of the battery. That’s the only right way here.
My shadow black didn’t sit long between being built and delivered, and wasn’t touched by the dealer, per my request. Still has its somewhat surprising share of defects, etching, etc. The clear seems “medium to soft” so far, but I’ve been letting it rest before fully correcting it and coating it...
People probably take Priuses to those trails, so yes, you’ll be fine with 35/20s. Def don’t need a 4“ lift to fit them, either (35s can fit stock, or with a minor leveling kit). Just do what you like. Most people who do hardcore off-roading are going to prefer more sidewall, but you won’t have...
You guys really want to prep and scuff the surface or these cheap bedliner options WILL flake and peel pretty soon. There’s nothing wrong with the cheap bedliners but just like anything, prep is everything. And most don’t have any UV protection built in so if exposed to sun, they fade. Not a...
Nice! Can’t wait to get mine! Will put sliders on it so my kiddos can crawl in the back, though.
We test drove a 2 door and they preferred that experience to our 4 door, so they are super excited for it to (eventually) come in.
I’ve been completely ignored by two first editions I waved at while driving my plain old OBX… but a guy in an early Bronco had a ton of questions and compliments at a gas station. I get questions pretty much every time I stop, too. It’s all good.
Most importantly though… My kids freaking love...
Same questions as above re:soft top operation, but I didn't see mentioned: can the rear be tilted up when the back door is opened? This is how my dogs get in, so it's definitely something I need to see in action before ordering.
The negativity here is unreal. We should all hope Ford makes lots of special editions so we can pick and choose bits for our own builds, at least.
Personally I’d rather have an EG over my OBX 4 door, but I already have it. I have two orders in for my “dream” 2 door basesquatch and am very...
Just ordered one, excited to take off the factory protector!
I was shopping around on Amazon and am glad I looked here to find a "real" vendor.
So here's a free bump. I'll be back for some tinted/smoked overlays soon hopefully!
