  1. Father and Son Off-Roading Adventure!

Very nice. The memories will last a life time.
  2. Sayonara! Sold my Bronco and bought a Crosstrek.

I've posted this before and although I didn't buy the Bronco for mpg's I'm quite surprised. I do have a Base 2.7. And with the 2.7 you don't need 4.7 gears. A waste of rpm and fuel. fyi I am running 285/70 R17 KO2's. I just changed oil Saturday for the second time @ 5100 mi. After another 300...
  3. Anyone in a Big Bend regret their choice? Any Base model owners wish they upgraded?

It depends on what you want it for I needed an automatic (health and age reasons) and wanted the 2.7. I got the Non Squatch Base with the 3.73 gears. Aux sw, keyless pad and roof rails. I put 33's on it and it is my everyday driver and I'm getting 23.5 mpg average after 5000 mi. I keep it...
  4. After a 2+ year wait, we got our 2-door Wildtrak. And then... totaled?

I'm sitting inside with a thunderstorm going on and I'm peeing my pants worrying about my Bronco. I'd be sick if something like that happenned. Sorry for your situation.
  5. Does SAS package now come with front locking hubs?

Good for him. Let him replace tractor tires at $2800.00 per tire, that get road worn while hauling anhydrous, fertilizer carts, or mint plummage wagons. Or maybe he keeps a 100hp small tractor around for just those applications. He can than cruise at 15mph from the field to town.
  6. Does SAS package now come with front locking hubs?

As a retired farmer I would unlock the front hubs and use 4 wheel low for heavy road hauling of wagons and equipment down the road. You don't need/want 4 wheel drive just the low gearing.
  7. Adding Fog Lights?

I just took the Harness, covers and lights off of the BB bumper and installed them on my Base Bumper. Hooked them into my aux switch. About a 2 hour job.
  8. Adding Fog Lights?

    Sure.
  9. Adding Fog Lights?

I bought a take off bumperf from a BB ($150.00). Took the fogs and covers off, installed the lights nd covers and used one of the aux switches. Didn't even need to take the Base bumper off, it has the fog light brackets built in.
  10. A Year with our Bronco - Adventures, Likes, Dislikes

All I can say is WOW! Oh and I'm jealous. I have 4 years to retirement and than I hope to enjoy some of that.
  11. Does the 2-Door actually exist?

They are GoRhino D1 Steps. They weren't making the steps for the 2 door so I bought 4 door steps and took 14" out of them, welded them together and re-painted them. The brackets actually worked pretty good with only egging out the rocker panel holes. GoRhino now maks a 57" length step but I...
  12. Ford neutered the Broncos 2.7L

I had a 2012 F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost engine. It's been a couple of years since I've driven it but the Bronco is at least comparable to the F150. And both have plenty of get up and go. I would like FORD do put one of these in the Bronco. In my Sons 2014 Mustang. 5.2 with an 88 mm blower...
  13. Does the 2-Door actually exist?

This one showed up in my drive a while back.
  14. 2024 Bronco refresh?

My buddy bought a hybrid Maverick and he gets 40 mpg. Give me the small diesel! In a 2 door of course. (probably not going to happen) I bet it would come close to that.
  15. What you gonna do with Steelies you can't sell?

I have the 16" Base take-offs with les than 500 miles on them. Also the front and rear Base Bumpers. Tx is a ways away so you're probably not intereste but if you make it to Indiana I'll take $400 for the works. And I don't mean I'll pay you $400 to take them! lol
  16. Normal engine and transmission temps?

I think your question has been answered pretty in debt. Mine usually runs 195 Oil, 185 Trans. I always thought 212 was required to keep moisture out of the system, I guess not. One quirk I have found, and it is consistent. When I turn off the air/heat both temps jump 10 deg. When I fist noticed...
  17. Illinois WTS: Standard Front & Rear Bumpers with Fog Lights

    Interested. i Sent a conversation.
  18. Michigan New takeoffs. Front Bumper $150

Do you still have the front bumper?
  19. Left the Jeep Wrangler for Ford Bronco, my first impressions after crossing 1K miles

I've got a base 2-door, 2.7 that I put 33's on and after 3200 mile I'm averaging 23.4 mpg. A couple of fill ups, 60 mph hwy to work and back, I was in the 24.5 mpg range. The rear end gearing makes a difference. The 3.73/2.7 combo handles the 33's with ease. With the different GOAT modes there...
