I really regret not waiting for a hardtop. The main reason being once you get a soft top its nearly impossible to get a hardtop. Aftermarket prices are wild and I really do not like how the ADV looks. The main downside for me is that I much prefer the look of a hardtop and the lack of roof rack...
Wow I had a REALLY similar situation to you.... I have an answer but you are not going to like it.
My build was Nov 15 2021 almost exactly a year before yours.
Waiting for it to ship to Nor Cal ( Bay Area ) was the most excruciating thing I have ever experienced. No communication no tracking...
The big drawback of ordering with a soft top is ... once you get it you are never getting a hard top...period. Ive been trying to get a hard top since I took delivery of my soft top and its just impossible, occasionally you find someone selling theirs for 5K, some people seem to want 10K. Either...
its hard to say what market price is, i have seen them go from 5k-8k. I would be more willing to pay something on the lower end of that range or do a trade for softtop + cash. I am aware it is a sellers market, maybe things will level out a little when ADV starts delivering their tops this winter
Just like the title says.
Obviously know this is a long shot given the scarcity of these, as well as the lack of aftermarket options. But hey, thought it was worth a shot. If you have thought about getting rid of your hard top feel free to reach out, would be willing to buy outright or trade a...
all i'm saying is First Edition with the all black trim + cactus grey is an elite combo. This looks mean but at the same time classy and not over-modded. This coming from a fellow CG owner, I like it on the BD's black/ mic trim as well.
My unpopular opinion that I have not seen here much;
The Bronco is un-wheelable without the sasquatch package. Don't get me wrong its great on dirt roads, mud, sand etc but the ground clearance is a huge barrier that keeps all models of Bronco from being able to rock crawl or handle real trails...
I was impressed. I park in a garage but the soft top got me through the worst of this winter. When it gets wet or snowy it does a good job of shedding moisture instead of collecting it, and for me it has never leaked in the slightest. Although we had some very light rain this year. Additionally...
I wasn't fully clear from the post title but it took my vehicle 90+ days via rail from MAP to my dealer. 2-3 of those weeks were spend in the rail yard closest to my dealer while it was being unloaded. It was so painful.
Thats an impressive amount of miles since delivery. I put 1.2 K on mine first month. I could be interested in the Sas set, let me know your price in the DMs. I have seen people selling them for pretty competitive prices.
I took my CG BD to the city last weekend for the first time! She did well although the GG bridge felt narrower than in my last car haha. I parked it for a few nights in the Marina (soft top) and had no problems, other than anxiety.
Day one res holder, 11.15 build.... took delivery 2.14. 3 f ing months of transit time, including broken containers and literal months without tracking updates. Also Walnut Creek Ford, who provided good service.
