Ford Motor Company did my wheels. A little shop up in Michigan :) This is how they came from the factory.

The fasteners, bolts are all painted glass black the same as the ring and the wheels in my case. They came from the factory all gloss black.

Roger, What it looks like to me is all of the wheels started off unfinished aluminum as expected. Some of them where power coated / painted Gloss Black at that point. However some of them had the ring attached then both were painted at the same time, meaning that the paint never made it to the...

yup.. and don't use an impact to break the Lock Tight either, do it by hand with a good T45. I went around and broke the bolts on all rings, then went back with the impact and same bit to remove the ring. Took about 15 minutes in total.

@Merbronc , funny you mention that. 2 of my wheels are black, 2 are unpainted and 1 is slightly painted. I assume they are being powdercoated from various sources but not all the same :-) I might order as spare set if this takes more than other week.

1000 Mile Oil Change Scheduled later this week. I have decided to have the factory oil changed at ~ 1000 miles. I will have it done by a local shop I have used for a long time and trust. They will give me ~ 3oz of engine oil to send off to Blackstone for Analysis. I do not expect any issues. I...

Agreed.. I just need to get the rings removed and delivered to the shop. I am also waiting for a paint color sample I can leave with them to color match as best they can.

Good call, but I couldn't find it just now. M7450 is the color code, but no luck.
