By that logic no business would sell anything until 50 years in the future when inflation makes their product worth $1 million.
But in the real world Ford wants to sell as many cars as possible every quarter or Wall Street will punish them and all the execs get fired. Corporations don't look...
I love how Ford looked at the number of reservations they had and how many cars they could produce this year to give dealers a general idea on allocations assuming every reservation converted and suddenly that's the set in stone number for everyone here.
Let me say that again: Ford has no idea...
I'm surprised more car companies aren't doing the Tesla thing and turning their existing camera systems into dash cams. A slightly bigger hard drive in the dash and a software interface to export through USB and bam! New $1000 option that's all profit. Hire me, Ford!
There are two bag packages. Look at the line directly below that you cut off. All hard tops include roof bags so the Door bags package for the hard top also “include” roof bags.
Or its in there because a dealer might have a fleet customer who made a reservation like everyone else.
It's not like they are offering a police package for the 2021. The options are just small things like removing the option to disable daytime running lights.
If Ford could complete all reservations in 2021 (which no one except you seem to believe is possible) then who cares if they added some fleet orders to that?
The OP's question assumes that not all reservations are filled this year. If they were completed then the concern is moot.
If I'm reading correctly the 4.7 axle is only available on the Sasquatch or manual Badlands.
Edit: it's listed on the accessories document for $1800. Not free like the B&P said.
You realize that if they were going to do this they will still do it?
Hiding your winch until the last minute won't get you a better deal on it. It might even make it worse for you! At that point you have already lost a lot of time negotiatating. Are you more likely to walk away or just give in...
An opinion poll is just that... an opinion. It's not a scientific study that 90% of dealers are out to scam you.
Look at last place on your poll: Congress always polls low as a group. But if you ask someone their opinion on their personal congressperson it's going to be much better. If they...
This is nonsense. First of all you can't be locked in simply by sending a B&P printout. You have all the power to walk away. It changes nothing.
Second how would you negotiate a price without telling the dealer what you want? I'm imaging you negotiating a price from your dealer on a 2d base...
I'm not sure what any of this has to do with giving your dealer a heads-up about your preferred Bronco build so they can streamline the order process when it is time.
You have yet to say what evil deeds the dealer will do with the Bronco build you send them.
