Just mounted mine. The only thing I really don’t like is that the lower lip on the drivers side is folded in the packaging. I put some extra velcro under it to try to help it lay flat. It’s still visible though.

Still no rain to speak of yet, so I can't report on splash protection for the RekGens, but I did finally fire up the scanner so you can see the directions on how they mount. I've only done the front ones for now. Not sure I'd like how the rear ones look.

Not entirely true. It was originally Antimatter Blue. The cream color (Wimbledon I think) is paint and the blue parts are a wrap. I spoke to him on Thursday.

No drilling at all. I had to pop out the factory push rivets and put in nut plates from RekGen. I’ll scan the instructions when I get a chance so you can see what’s involved. That said, I used my drill with a right angle attachment t and a socket adapter rather than a ratchet to install them.

It took about 45 minutes for me to get the front pair on, and given my long day, that’s enough. I’ll do the rear later. There’s barely enough clearance for the step bars, but they do fit. We’re supposed to have rain on Tuesday, so we’ll see how much splash protection I get then.

Just got home from Atlanta (6 hr drive) and opened these RekGens up. Will probably attempt install later this afternoon.

This is from Roaring Fork on Thursday. I’ll see what else my wife took as I was driving. We had a bear encounter as well, mama and two cubs. Edit: turns out all she took was video and I’ll have to do a little work on them. I’ll do that when we get home from Atlanta.

I ordered a set from RekGen that’s waiting on me at home right now. We went to Super Celebration East and are in Atlanta for the Braves now. i should be able to get them installed tomorrow. I have a FE with the Ford step bars installed instead of the rock rails.

Speaking for myself, I’ve never had the problem he describes, but I’ll keep this on the back of my mind in case it’s needed. 👍 I just crossed 5,000 this week.
