The color combo is a big reason we went with this particular tire cover, I'm pretty happy with it.
My license plate is a NC Partially Disabled Veteran plate (has the handicapped symbol due to my bad knee).
Big Marine heritage in my wife's family (my family was all Navy in WWII). Both of her...
Iām aware of the Forscan possibility, I just donāt want to risk losing my warranty coverage for it (especially since with this new generation, we have seen some problems pop up, though none affecting me so far). Iāll end up adding it after the warranty expires, most likely.
As for the...
7000 miles in 6 months, and there's only two things I don't like about the FE: Lack of sport mode, and the carpeted floors (I do have the rubber mats). I'd have gotten a Badlands if the FE reservation didn't fall in my favor.
That said, I'm insanely happy with everything else, especially the...
Just mounted mine. The only thing I really donāt like is that the lower lip on the drivers side is folded in the packaging. I put some extra velcro under it to try to help it lay flat. Itās still visible though.
Still no rain to speak of yet, so I can't report on splash protection for the RekGens, but I did finally fire up the scanner so you can see the directions on how they mount.
I've only done the front ones for now. Not sure I'd like how the rear ones look.
Not entirely true. It was originally Antimatter Blue. The cream color (Wimbledon I think) is paint and the blue parts are a wrap.
I spoke to him on Thursday.
No drilling at all. I had to pop out the factory push rivets and put in nut plates from RekGen. Iāll scan the instructions when I get a chance so you can see whatās involved.
That said, I used my drill with a right angle attachment t and a socket adapter rather than a ratchet to install them.
It took about 45 minutes for me to get the front pair on, and given my long day, thatās enough. Iāll do the rear later.
Thereās barely enough clearance for the step bars, but they do fit. Weāre supposed to have rain on Tuesday, so weāll see how much splash protection I get then.
This is from Roaring Fork on Thursday. Iāll see what else my wife took as I was driving. We had a bear encounter as well, mama and two cubs.
Edit: turns out all she took was video and Iāll have to do a little work on them. Iāll do that when we get home from Atlanta.
I ordered a set from RekGen thatās waiting on me at home right now. We went to Super Celebration East and are in Atlanta for the Braves now.
i should be able to get them installed tomorrow. I have a FE with the Ford step bars installed instead of the rock rails.
Speaking for myself, Iāve never had the problem he describes, but Iāll keep this on the back of my mind in case itās needed. š
I just crossed 5,000 this week.
I've got those... I'm at work now so can't pull up the picture, but look in my post history and you'll find it. I keep a Beretta M9 on mine.
The included screws are crap and won't hold the weight of the frame and of the firearm. I had to use machine screws after drilling and run a small nut...
