I gotta agree with Matt here on the lux packages. At least thats what I want to believe and thats what I'll keep telling myself!
.....we're gonna get bumped arent we? Ha
Whelp, I am back here. Dealer did say I was 02/28 again the other day but called CS this morning and they informed me I have a build day of 03/15.
I feel more inclined to believe them then my dealer.
Does receiving an actually build day as opposed to a build week hold more weight in sticking...
I just talked to my dealer and he said my build week is 02/28 so it looks like for now at least I have been pushed back to the week of the 28th.
I am hesitant to believe it but thats what he says his computer shows.
This is all good information. I did not know that all of the models used the same wheel bearings and ball joints. If that's the case that eliminates a very big point of failure that you would have to worry about.
It seems like it would most likely be fine to go to 33's with the 3.73 gearing. It...
So, i've been researching this topic as much as I can over the last few weeks/months trying to come to some firm answers but I am having difficulties in that. I thought I would post a topic relating directly to tire size and what the effects can be based on the size. LEt me expand upon this...
Yea this is essentially what I have been told each time. She did tell me that it got updated yesterday February 3rd but couldnt tell me what got updated. You'd have to assume the build week got updated.
I caved and ended up reaching out to my dealer for the updated production date. No word...
Yea thats the number i've called. Each time they say they can see the status but not the production date. I wonder why the discrepancy exists between who they tell and who they dont. Kind of odd.
How are you getting the production date from them? I have called them a few times now and each time they say they dont have access to that information. Curious how a lot of other people seem to get this information from them.
I want to hope your dealer is right. From what I can gather, and there is no proof of this, is that this is being caused by a bad batch of chips. So, Ford has held all of the broncos effected by them back. This is looking like it is a few weeks of builds. If this is the case I would have to...
If I had to hazard a guess I would say, if possible, they will treat this like dirt mountain. They will hold the ones with the issues and keep the line moving and sending out those broncos while working on Ice Mountain. This all depends on if this chip issue was a problem with a certain batch...
Well now we play the waiting game to see if we will end up on "Ice Mountain" when our production dates come up. I'm hoping that it is just for a few weeks of builds but honestly who knows at this point.
Im no lawyer but there is no case against ford in this situation in my opinion. The vehicle is not yours. You dont have to buy it. So, you havent actually been injured in any way in this situation.
Its definitely frustrating but it is what it is, unfortunately.
I am thinking of doing the same size tires but was unsure of the ride and noise quality. What are your opinions so far? Any concerns with the size and weight of those tires causing issues with the vehicle?
