I got my wiper motor flashed at the dealer for the dry protection mode issue. I hope that fixes that issue, but since it's Winter now, might not get to try it out till Spring. But they also did the seatbelt retention clip recall. I didn’t really want that, but it was on there when I picked it...
I believe this is the longest post I have followed so far. Started following, since I was originally interested in a one piece top. Now a few other options seem to be available this year as well, so will be interesting to see when the tops finally get released to the public for usage. Right...
I'm guessing the same reason why pickup trucks I'm behind have to do 2 mph over smooth railroad tracks with a little hump.
Get out of my way! I'm trying to move the suspension a little.
It is funny, because of how much they hyped it up. They need some amount of trolling. lol
But the sad truth is, all this software stuff will be getting more and more people in trouble. Silly software that decides that it doesn't want to work today, will get you stranded. :(
I miss the...
I use my foam wash gun to power washer, so can lay down half under the Bronco after taking the skid plates off. Something like in the stock picture here. The foaming jug uncouples and pop a power washer fitting in there and you can get up close and personal.
1. remove skid plates.
2. give it a...
I don't know about shifting from Reverse to Drive, since I park backwards, but it does not shift as nice when it is cold. Cold being not at operating temperature. Below 170F trans temp. Feels a bit clunky at times. Once it hits operating temp, shifts smoother going through the gears.
I think the setting to modify the breadcrumbs is in the Navigation | More settings. Problem is, without paying for the navigation, that option is greyed out for me, can't modify. Guess I'm stuck with the "poops". ;) lol
Bronco "Poops" as my sis calls them, the bronco location on the navigation map will leave a little brown dot on the navigation map when the vehicle is turned off or now finding out, when off the navigation map as well, will leave a trail of "poops" to follow back, I assume. It didn't do this...
I did see that video and I asked the question in the comments if he did anything to get it working again, as I thought when airbags deployed, it basically immobilized the vehicle. Maybe that's more for passenger vehicles?
From what he said, he did not reset anything or clear codes, and it...
Has anyone seen tiny air bubbles out out oil filter housing where the housing meets the engine block?
Attached a couple pics and a video of it happening.
I had just changed the oil. Filter went on fine with new o-rings. torked down to the 18flb. The engine was cold, since I did it first thing...
I had been looking for a while. I had one marked before, but the vendor had been out of stock for months, so I ended up getting the Warn one. It's a little more than some you can find on Amazon, but currently listed at ~$90. Says a year warranty for it. I like it. Has a hefty "clunk" when...
Not sure which engine you have, but with the 2.7, there is no cooler directly in the fan path. Both the transmission and oil have heat exchangers tied into the engine cooling system. Those also have valves, controlling the flow of cooling in those heat exchangers, I assume based upon the...
No judgement here, just looking at what was posted in the pictures as I'm finding this interesting and possible fail point for anyone doing more extensive suspension work. I'm wondering if the extra length on the added shock bracket caused extra tork that killed the plug welds that may have not...
Ford has already doubled down on the wipers, releasing the SSM stating that they work as designed. But their design was listed for dry or obstructions, that they will stop. It doesn't list a wet windshield at all. Obviously they are not working as designed if they slow down and stop with any...
I have reported my wiper problem as well, 2022 model, Oct build. Not even any snow or ice at that time, just plain medium rain. 40 to 50 degrees outside. No way the wiper motor was over heating/over loading after just a few minutes of use and such cool temperatures. Older explorer has some...
