I'd text my dealership again, but I know asking them this would be like asking them how to engineer a rocket to Mars. I'll wait by the mailbox with fingers crossed instead, haha!
My favorite auction was the Bronco one where the seller would order it to your specs, I think for a buy it now of $90k. He would be allowed to put 500 miles on it himself and then pay $1/mile for anything over 500 miles he put on it. Hahaha!
After seeing the reds in person on other vehicles, I really liked them. Just didn't have the boldness in me to go red. It pops in a good way! I went Velocity Blue instead. Still pops, but nearly as saucy as those reds!
The one thing I've learned from being on this forum is that many dealers really don't have a clue, so until Ford tells you otherwise, I wouldn't lose hope just yet! I'm a 1 a.m. 7/14 reservation, and originally was #12 of 48 allocations. Who know where I am now.
My wife's Rav4 was repainted for free last year due to a recall issue. The guy at the shop said it was a $10,000 job including labor. I guess Earl Scheib prices are up there too now!
At my event in VA, they had a hat, mug, and Keychain if you were a reservation holder. The lady seemed a bit miffed when I asked to have all three. Everyone got a cheap carabiner Bronco keychain.
I texted the guy who inputted my order a week or so ago asking if he could tell me where I stood in line. The sales manager originally told me I was 12 of 48 allocated to them (7/14 1 a.m. reservation), so I was hoping with the mod top issue and maybe some people who potentially didn't order...
It pained me to pay MSRP, but I was scared to move my reservation as I'm a 7/14 1 a.m. order. I would have walked away from them if it was above MSRP. These are not 427 Shelby Cobras, so I'm not paying more for something that is definitely going to depreciate in value. The First Edition...
For that ridiculous destination charge, it should be dropped off at your house with a big bow on it and a local marching band playing while it's rolled off!
Anytime dealerships are involved, there are sure to be shenanigans. That being said, none of us have even been told our build date yet, so I honestly could care a less. Its like getting pissed some VIP gets into the club or wherever ahead of you. It is what it is. The reality is none of us...
Saw the AMB in Richmond, VA today. It's a similar blue to a car my wife had before. I was telling a fellow B6G'er how that shade of blue showed scratches horribly, so I wouldn't get that color again on another vehicle. He then pointed to some scratches already showing up in the door frame...
