You don’t have to mod the jeep mount others are talking about.
As far as using the jeep mount on the sas, a wheel spacer cures it. I did a 1.25” spacer but you could probably get away with a 1”.
@Harumph Not too bad, I’m 6’4” so anything blocked by the radio is mostly hood. The rear view mirror in these things are far worse.
An iPad mini is definitely bigger than the radio display, it might be a bit much.
@Harumph depending on the radio, they have a separate face plate you can mount damn near anywhere and mount the radio remotely. I have the Yeasu FTM-400. Display is mounted on the bronco’s built in dash mount spot.
