  1. 2.3 Manual... Rolling in Gear?

Maybe this will help someone, but the compression ratios don't come in to play with a engine that is not running. The blow-by that happens with all engines will leak out any air of any cylinder over a period of time. That time is determined by the fit of the rings to the cylinder walls. So...
  2. Bronco Body Lift - Stress on Linkage, Hoses, Wiring

Ok, that's interesting. I can see that there may be some differences in connecting components with the different engines. I don't know anyone with the 2.3 or I'd take a look and compare. That 2.7 is crammed in there, not even much room to get an arm down the front. lol
  3. Bronco Body Lift - Stress on Linkage, Hoses, Wiring

I remember the 80s quite nicely. Think I'll hang around there a bit longer.
  4. Bronco Body Lift - Stress on Linkage, Hoses, Wiring

Right now, just looking to gain some clearance between the tire and fenders, for a possible 37ish tire in the future, when these tires wear out or they piss me off. lol Possible suspension in the further future, so kind of a combo lift in my mind, get a little here and a little there.
  5. Bronco Body Lift - Stress on Linkage, Hoses, Wiring

I have been reviewing all the info I can find on body lifts: 1", 2" or 3". I have seen BB videos and what they sell, but I have questions after taking a deeper dive look to my own. Steering Linkage - it has been said that the linkage has enough room to accommodate to a 3" lift through the...
  6. Red fluid leak. Transmission fluid?

    The mystery continues. ;)
  7. Red fluid leak. Transmission fluid?

By chance, did you happen to run over one of those parking barriers that may have been covered in snow? The rebar sometimes freezes out of those things. Makes a nice hole puncher.
  8. McAfee pop ups

It's a popup from a shady advertiser on the site. When you are on the forum, various advertisers are displaying advertisements, and one of them is actually running a scam, and pops up that fake McAfee page. Don't click the page, just browse back or close and reopen the browser. The scam only...
  9. Michigan Sold: AWE 0FG Catback Exhaust Ford Bronco 2.3T / 2.7TT for sale

Received this AWE exhaust last week. I installed it seemed ok to me at first, but I ended up taking it off. I have some sound sensitivity sometimes and after a bit, it was just too much for me. It made the 2.7 sound more "beefy", at least what I was hearing. I don't have a sound meter, but...
  10. PSA: Beauty Ring Bolts -- Removal Issues & Replacement Cost - BE AWARE!

I have been following some of these threads about the troubles with the beauty rings, so never attempted it. But I got screwed last week, in the bad way. :( So while calling around to see what shop could get me patched, I debated removing the ring. What I didn't want happen is have some...
  11. Rear Exhaust Bracket Bolts fused

I went out and took another picture. Looks like the brake line is attached to a plastic clip that fastens over one of the diff bolts. I'm not sure if there is a nut/bolt in the center of that plastic bracket. But I'm curious now. I can get back under there tomorrow and check it out.
  12. Rear Exhaust Bracket Bolts fused

That explains it then. lol Thank you :)
  13. Rear Exhaust Bracket Bolts fused

I am removing the stock exhaust to replace with AWE exhaust to get rid of that massive stock muffler in the rear. Want to reclaim that space for my air system. The muffler and pipe from the flex pipe back came off not too difficult. It's only 3 months old. I went to remove the muffler...
