  1. True 35 inch tire question

I'm on the fence on buying true 35's or going to 37's and want to know what tires have been found to be true to size and what they measure when mounted? I have 315/70/17 KO2's atthe moment and they measure around 34" unmounted and 33.5" mounted and with the Bronco weight on them. Just want to...
  2. Moab In The Cold Weather - Questions

We've done Moab in early November a number of times and always had a great time and no snow. We're planning on going the 2nd weekend in November this year and the hotel rates are way cheaper than when we went in April (paying the same for 3 nights that we did for 1 then). Normally there's not a...
  3. Sunglass storage alternatives?

I picked this up on Amazon for cheap and it works great for sunglasses and phones (my wife decided she wanted the phone charge cord in the other pocket so it was out of the way and accessible so that's what's in the other pocket now).
  4. Homemade Storage Drawer Riser

I wanted to raise my Tuffy storage drawer but the kit they sell only raises it 3" and it over $200 so I decided to go to the local MetalMart and see what I could find that might work. I found an 8 foot piece of 8" c perlin and decided to give it a try. I cut and drilled it and used grommets...
  5. What did you do TO / WITH your Bronco today? 👨🏻‍🔧🧰🚿🛠

I installed a wireless backup camera I have on my front license plate holder to use as a front camera on trails. I tried it out around the neighborhood and it seems like it should work. I had to buy an adapter to go from USB to a 120 cigarette lighter outlet for the screen, which I picked up for...
  6. Rynoskin Rock Sliders

After unbolting the sliders the 1 that had all the weight on it ripped the nutzerts out of all 3 brackets (just the bottom 1) so I bent the brackets back in shape and tightened the remaining bolts and welded the brackets on the slider side and the metal was thick enough to weld to without...
  7. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

Here are the few pictures my wife took (she actually rode along most of the time where she used to get out a lot when I had the Jeep). I'll make sure to get more when we go back in November.
  8. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

We stayed at Archway Inn (my wife booked it but i think the total for 3 nights was around $700 or a little less), they have a good breakfast that's included thst helps offset the cost some and have rooms that accommodate our family of 5 (3 queen beds in 1 room). Others in our group camped at the...
  9. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

I also meant to put that I ran my tires at 15 psi (2 tire gages said 15 but readout on the dash said 18 so i think the dash runs a few psi high) which worked really well. I'd hesitate to go much lower without beadlock rings and had just the right amount of squat in my opinion.
  10. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

Good to know. I figured it was new since none of us had done it before and we've run the trail a number of times over the years. Either way, it was fun.
  11. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

I felt like if I even had true 35 inch tires on it instead of the 315's (the KO2's measure around 34.4") then I would've scraped about half as much as I did on the skid plates. There were a few spots where i'm sure I would've still hit them but for the most part I barely scraped. I also wish the...
  12. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

AC Fabs has a set and it looks like there's a set available from Precision Works as well (I know some on here have the AC Fab set and that was the only option last time I looked so the others are either new or not out yet, they popped up when I just searched on google).
  13. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

I have a Big Bend, so no push button sway bar disconnect.
  14. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

There was a new obstacle on Hells Revenge called The Staircase (just past escalator a bit) that was fun. It was a mixture of Hells Gate and escalator but not as long as the gate or as tight as escalator. Once we figured out the line it wasn't bad.
  15. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

I folded the drivers side mirror in and was fine (it was a bit close but not enough to sweat).
  16. Observations after 1st trip to Moab in the Bronco

We just got back from a few days in Moab and did Hells Revenge, The Pickle, and Metal Masher. It had been awhile since I ran those trails and I last did them in a CJ7 with 33's (had gears and lockers). I have a 4 door big bend SAS with 315x70 r17 KO2's stock height and I added a factory set of...
  17. Rynoskin Rock Sliders

I wanted to give an update on these. I just finished a couple of days in Moab and while doing a trail called "The Pickle" ended up putting the full weight of the Bronco on the drivers sde slider on an obstacle and it held up and saved me certain body damage. The rear bracket bent and 1 of the...
  18. What have people done to replace the door pockets?

I'm 6'5" and my ankle/lower left leg rests against it sometimes (there's room to put my foot next to the dead pedal and extend it out and it doesn't touch it then). It hasn't been an issue for me but could be annoying for some and did take getting used to. Since the fronts use the factory screws...
  19. 2022 Outer Banks Sasquatch Bash plates?

I agree. Hard to believe they don't include any worthwhile skid plates on a vehicle built for off-road and even if you get the optional ones with the modular front bumper then you have to at least buy something to protect the plastic gas tank. Mine came with the modular bumper but i'm still...
  20. 2022 Outer Banks Sasquatch Bash plates?

It would only get steel for the front/engine if you opted for the modular front bumper otherwise those are plastic and either way you wouldn't get the rest of the skid plates with that trim package (if I remember right you only get full skids with black diamond, badlands, or Raptor).
