Since it looks like you're asking about a Badlands SASQUATCH vs a Black Diamond SASQUATCH, I can help out here. Look like those above weren't considering that.
So your suspension, wheels, lift, lockers are identical. Here are the true differences:
Lights, front and rear. The upgraded signature...
What's the downside for them in taking more reservations? Dealers get $100, Ford gets a valuable list of future customers, Ford stops (in some cases) consumers from buying a competitors car because they're waiting for a Bronco.
Thanks. This was more about pointing out an opportunity for Ford. Several times a week on here I see a post saying things like "Well guys, I'm tired of waiting so I purchased a Gladiator", or a Chevy truck, etc.
I've not leased a car in many years, but I tend to think that 12 month leases are very rare and generally aren't very favorable to the consumer. Thats why this would have to be a specific program Ford creates to monetize the enthusiasm of a subsection of the 200,000 reservation holders.
Ford creates lease programs that dealers offer. And they offer special terms to people in certain classes (veterans, recent college grads, people who own a Ford, etc). Bronco reservation holders could be a class. This could fit within the boundaries of the current ecosystem.
My post was made with the preface that Bronco Sports might not sell well. Especially since most Bronco fans have picked the Bronco itself and we are holding our money for 9+ months. This is not charity. This is a targeted sales incentive to move sports off the lot.
I don't particularly need a car right now. But if I could try out a Bronco Sport in Area 51 for 12 months with good terms, I might do that. And that probably does more for Ford and brand loyalty than FordPass points will.
I just noticed a post about Ford dealers already offering discounts on dealer stock on Bronco Sports. And I have a friend who has a Bronco reservation and suddenly needs a car due to mechanical issues. He'll be waiting 9-15ish months for his Bronco and now needs a temporary car. See where I'm...
The dudes main warning was about binding the differential. So what about selecting baja, shifting to 2H, unlocking the differentials, and pressing the gas?
Went thru something similar but ultimately chose the 4 door badlands 2.7 with high package and 33s. In the end, we have 2 kids and decided to give my wife the 2 door lexus I currently drive. And trade in the family hauler Highlander she currently drives. So I get the new family hauler:)
I'm really wanting the upgraded badlands wheels with the 33inch KO2's. I wish I could see a pic or get another confirmation that Ford will allow this (the b&p allows it).
