I probably should have just stuck with the Kicker like everyone else
I can fit the Alpine without the rubber ring, but I’d rather make the sub fit with the rubber
Between all the threads and posts, I’m chipping away on my stereo upgrade. And I’m an absolute novice at this stuff.
Going to swap all the 4” speakers with Hertz DCX 100.3. I listened to those compared to Alpine’s and Focal’s. My ear enjoyed the Hertz. Anyone selling a single by the way?
I’ve...
Is there an adapter if I just want to swap the B&O sub with another sub and use the existing vehicle harness?
Similar to the adapters used for the 4 inch speakers?
Follow-up question. I just need to connect 1 positive and 1 negative wire and then use bridging wires, is that right?
I wish...
I could use a little help / guidance.
I bought an Alpine 8” 4ohm DVC subwoofer, I just want to swap it for the B&O sub
is there a harness for that? Or do I cut the wires and feed them to the new sub? I have some other wires with the sub that I think I connect to the extra positive and negative...
Well I was impatient and while using a trim tool, rather than squeeze the rear pod enclosures I pried. Snapped a retaining bracket on both sides 🤬
So pro-tip, squeeze the pods to loosen
odds that ford makes an affordable splash guard for the SAS package?
trying to figure out where to wait or just do the workaround with my D6

Looking at 4 inches by my check.
This sub is like a paper mache piece of cr-p.
Looking at these...DVC, 4-ohm
Alpine, 150 watts per coil

This Rockford lists 75 watts per coil. Does that cause a problem...
Alright, I'm starting the process, which even after reading this thread is still intimidating. Step 1 was remove the cargo area mounts and pull off the sub enclosure. Broke a few of the different kinds of clips. Anyone know where to buy replacements please? Or just go to the dealer parts...
If I get something deal I'll update the thread. Not exactly my comfort zone so I may end up paying a shop.
Also looking at the Rockford Fosgate R2-500X1 and P3SD4-8 subwoofer combo.
I'm a complete rookie on all things car audio related and after reading all the posts, still can't quite figure this out.
I have the B&O and want to swap the sub. From what I've seen I need an 8" dual voice coil 4-ohm subwoofer.
It seems like either of these from Crutchfield would work...
Anyone just upgrade the sub itself and hear a benefit? Like without another amp?
I'm fairly clueless about this stuff.
So if I got on Crutchfield and there is a Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-8 or P3SD4-8, can I just plug in to replace the sub on my B&O system?
My Wrangler has the Alpine system and...
