Folks had Bronco II in the 80s and it was a royal PITA to get in and out of when you're 6+ft. The purchase for me is totally utilitarian, my kids are all grown, age 52, and my hobby time is mountain top radio communications sites and anything with 2 doors is just non functional.

So now I am intrigued, how do you have this set up because I have been researching dual battery setups?

Others here can correct me but since that radio has a max draw of 12amps you'd need to probably use the switch to activate a relay to power on the radio.

What model radio are you planning to use?

Interesting, well another option I was considering was this under seat bracket from plug n play kits. It's designed to hold audio amps that look to be thicker than the 5100 base. They make them for either the driver or passenger seat.

I don't think most of the manufacturers of public safety gear are set up yet for Bronco because there's not that many out there being used in that application. I don't see custom consoles yet, which will be a challenge since the shifter is in the way but always ways to work around it. Radio...

Thanks Matt. Everyone's looks great. For me the part that irritates me is that it's built but hasn't left the factory and been sitting for 2 weeks. Very disappointed in Ford's logistics and shipping.

Yeah no worries, gets harder to be patient when others in your build week get theirs and yours hasn't even left the factory yet. In the end I am in good shape and still won't be as long as some that placed orders to have them cancel, or take years to get... Glass half full? Glass half empty...

Like someone above suggested I would take the approach of being nice and needing help. It's easy to ramp up to angry and P*ssed off if you truly need to but much harder to go down to nice and needing help if you started angry. Also you might suggest they tow it to another certified shop that...

Unfortunately you don't have installers in the Pacific Northwest so some of us would have little option but to attempt ourselves.
