  1. About to purchase…. Opinions

My advice would be to really comb the dealers in what you consider to be a reasonable radius and make the best deal you can. I currently have a 4dr Wildtrack on order that is stuck waiting for shipment. Told my dealer near me two weeks ago that if it didn't ship the next week I was going to...
  2. Age and Reason for 2door and 4door buyers

Folks had Bronco II in the 80s and it was a royal PITA to get in and out of when you're 6+ft. The purchase for me is totally utilitarian, my kids are all grown, age 52, and my hobby time is mountain top radio communications sites and anything with 2 doors is just non functional.
  3. HAM Radio to AUX Switches

So now I am intrigued, how do you have this set up because I have been researching dual battery setups?
  4. HAM Radio to AUX Switches

Others here can correct me but since that radio has a max draw of 12amps you'd need to probably use the switch to activate a relay to power on the radio.
  5. Very Clean Midland MXT575 GMRS Radio Install with Mountains2Metal Bracket and 67 Designs Mic Mount

Interesting, well another option I was considering was this under seat bracket from plug n play kits. It's designed to hold audio amps that look to be thicker than the 5100 base. They make them for either the driver or passenger seat.
  6. Bronco Badlands Fire Apparatus Build

I don't think most of the manufacturers of public safety gear are set up yet for Bronco because there's not that many out there being used in that application. I don't see custom consoles yet, which will be a challenge since the shifter is in the way but always ways to work around it. Radio...
  7. Bronco Build Week 4/08/2024

Very interesting, thx for the information.
  8. Very Clean Midland MXT575 GMRS Radio Install with Mountains2Metal Bracket and 67 Designs Mic Mount

I have not but if you do I am curious how it comes out as my Wildtrak will get (2) 5100's when it comes in.
  9. Bronco Build Week 4/08/2024

Yeah I know, sometimes too much information is a bad thing. Being able to read the blend dates and understanding all that has led me to looking at all the dealers in Wash/Ore/ID and figured out the rail shipments for the northwest go through the northern part of the country and everything going...
  10. Bronco Build Week 4/08/2024

Heard from my dealer yesterday that they have no update. Expressed my frustration, not that he can do anything about it, but that if it didn't ship next week I will start looking at other options.
  11. Bronco Build Week 4/08/2024

Thanks Matt. Everyone's looks great. For me the part that irritates me is that it's built but hasn't left the factory and been sitting for 2 weeks. Very disappointed in Ford's logistics and shipping.
  12. Bronco Build Week 4/08/2024

Yeah no worries, gets harder to be patient when others in your build week get theirs and yours hasn't even left the factory yet. In the end I am in good shape and still won't be as long as some that placed orders to have them cancel, or take years to get... Glass half full? Glass half empty...
  13. Bronco Build Week 4/08/2024

Congrats to everyone who has theirs or has good tracking and expects theirs shortly. As I comb through previous weeks builds going back a couple of months it seems that perhaps they only ship by rail to the Pacific Northwest once a month and it seems to be the end of the month so with that mine...
  14. [Now Shipping] Armorlite Floor for Bronco 2dr and 4dr Exclusive Bronco6G Pre-Presale

Look forward to doing this but will have to wait a bit before I order, maybe late summer. Hope you have some installers in Oregon by then...
  15. Ford technician Trouble with Cam Phasers

Like someone above suggested I would take the approach of being nice and needing help. It's easy to ramp up to angry and P*ssed off if you truly need to but much harder to go down to nice and needing help if you started angry. Also you might suggest they tow it to another certified shop that...
  16. Armorlite Flooring for the Bronco - installed video

Unfortunately you don't have installers in the Pacific Northwest so some of us would have little option but to attempt ourselves.
