I discovered that the trail sights are a grab handle for me stepping up on the front tire to wash the windshield, header and front parts of the mic top. I'll keep them for that reason alone.

I have a wonderful PDR guy who works magic. Hopefully you can find one out there in PHX. The scratches are forever but since the hood has no immediate panels that join it (visually) you wont have to blend the fenders or any other painted surface.
