I need to go for a drive this morning and see if it stops when I'm away from the house again today. Very odd. I don't think it's a prank noisemaker, unless it's GPS/location activated and only does it when I get to my house.

I do wish it was that simple. I've pulled it outside, and the noise is definitely coming from the Bronco. No smoke detector in the garage. It's still doing it this morning. I"m sure this is going to be something that when I get it to the dealer, it won't do it there.

Not that, either. I did check that. This has me stumped. It sounds like it's coming from outside of the vehicle.

Thanks, nothing detected there. The Bronco "chimes" every 30 seconds. My wife, son, and I have been all over it and can't figure out where it's coming from. Now that I mentioned it earlier, the sound resembles a smoke detector with a weak battery.

Tonight I got home, and my Bronco won't stop a repetitive chime from the rear of the vehicle. Sounds like it's from the underside. It does it vehicle on/off, driving forward, driving reverse, parked outside, inside. I went and got gas to do a brief drive cycle, and strangely, it did not chime...

I think unless something significant (modular painted top, V6 with the manual, etc) is available, I'll probably refrain from another order for now. My wife did a good job convincing me to order what I wanted. We're close in mileage, I'm at about 2500 miles right now.

Very cool, glad I could help. I've had the rails off for a while now. I mainly got them for some canoe trips, but figured the cost penalty was cheaper than buying them after the fact. I know I've said it before, but I get more compliments on the color than I do the fact that it's a Bronco.
