Mine hasn't gone off since I lowered the stops.

Hey all this was happening every day multiple times a day but recently lowered the hoodstops (literally two pieces you can hand screw down under then hood) and that has seemingly allowed no alarms for about a week now.

Yeah I had a case number after DMing them. I canceled my appointment at the dealership I had for tomorrow but if it comes back I for sure will get that sensor replaced

Hey its now Monday and hasn't gone off since I lowered the hood stops so thinking its fixed.

So its been like 15 hours, hasn't gone off since I tightened down the hood stops. I'll try to update over the weekend if it continues to not go off.

Well it hasn't triggered in about an hour and a half so.....I'll reply in the morning to see if it goes off while I'm asleep.

Got it thanks, I just twisted them down a good bit. I'll see if it goes off again and tighten them a bit more if it does.

I'm guessing thats just a piece I can hand screw down, but if you have any visuals on what to look for I'd appreciate it. Thanks for your input btw.

UPDATE: The lowering of the hood stops did not work long term, had to have a new hood latch ordered and after weeks of waiting Ford sent my dealership the wrong part. I only found out after dropping the vehicle off and waiting all day for the dealership to call me 2 hours before I was going to...

I guess every penny helps even though its 160 for a piece of plastic so if you decide to go for it this is a bit cheaper.

They also take FordPass Points now so no waiting, idk if you can use them cause of the 4 door local pickup thing but there are a bunch of Ford Dealerships that sell at cost and use Ford Pass Points if you ask around.

Pretty crazy how every state is different huh? The dealership may have just gotten confused as they are in PA and I am in VA.

Thanks, I did check that stuff as they did make a mistake with the inspection/sending the info to the DMV initially but looks like I got the DMV stuff fixed.....now to get a new inspection sticker with my actual VIN.

Its crazy how every state is different, the lady at the DMV literally asked me what I wanted on the title.......like it was dealers choice

Update: Looks like the dealership did make the mistake of putting my vehicle in as a 4 door and verified that at the DMV today. Even though it was Friday the 13th lol the DMV was awesome and got it fixed in under 15 min but I'm gonna be billing the dealership for the new title and a new...

Yep gotcha thanks for the reply, but my problems less with it being a station wagon as that's fine from what I know and more it has a "4D" on it meaning 4 door I think. Mines 2 door.
