  1. 2-door Bronco rear headrest removal possible?

Well the front ones are a safety device too and are easily removeable.
  2. 2024 Bronco Refresh?

There are always changes, but a good question. Hard to get into their minds. One would think that they would work hard to get past items that are popular and constrained. Some things like the hard top they are playing catch-up an with the current ones better although not trouble free, they...
  3. Easter Egg: coordinates to Ford’s Product Development Center! 🐣🧭

I can neither confirm nor deny seeing that
  4. No more 2023MY scheduling for hardtops, Sasquatch and LUX (reported by dealership)

I know the one statement said to be considered for scheduling which infers they weren't going to schedule any Hard Top (MIC, MOD or both?), SAS or LUX, but the remaining statements seem to make it about price protection. It seems improbable that they won't schedule hard tops because that would...
  5. Ford recalling some models for driver seatbelt unbuckled warning chime sound duration

My favorite statement from the link. How many people who wear seat belts need the reminder? And how many who are inclined to not wear seat belts will because of the chime? Anyway a minor thing, there have been some truly stupid attempts to force seat belt compliance. Seat belt ignition...
  6. Drop a Picture of Your Bronco for a Rating

That race red is the most under-rated color in my opinion. I have eruption green which is nice but my race red bronco just stands out
  7. Cabin pressure making doors hard to close?

I think it is always easier to close a door when another is open on any vehicle. The question is just how much harder is it? Given the window drop when the door is open, I find just that little bit of space makes my broncos doors easier to close than other cars I have, but I am sure if I...
  8. Looking for feedback on engine choice.

In general I always opt for the bigger engine. I rather more power and I rather less reliance on turbo. I'll accept a larger non-turbo engine even if less power than a smaller turbo. That said, both engine choices are turbo and because I wanted a manual trans on my Black Diamond that meant...
  9. 2.3 blown engine possible ?

Neither my base nor black diamond have oil pressure gauge. Doesn't surprise me because my other ford vehicles have fake pressure gauges hooked up to a pressure switch. When pressure is high enough to trip the switch (greater than 5 PSI) the fake gauge shows pressure exactly in the middle of...
  10. 2.3 blown engine possible ?

Agreed low oil can certainly cause low oil pressure. The point I was getting was the reverse case which is good oil like you had. Just that good oil level doesn't mean oil pressure will be good.
  11. 2.3 blown engine possible ?

Two thoughts come to mind. One, checking oil level does not verify pressure and when I see a low oil pressure indicator I consider that a must stop the engine now situation and tow it in unless I somehow can independently verify oil pressure. Did your dealer have you drive it in that first time...
  12. Accelerating on its own when crawling.

I have 2,900 miles on my Bronco Base and a couple weeks ago I had an experience in a parking lot in 2H. I had let off the brake and it started moving a little as I expected, but as I was thinking of touching the gas to get it to move a little faster, it accelerated on its own. Not fast but...
  13. C&D manual Sasquatch 0-60 7.4 sec

    Agreed and overall geometry.
  14. Rear ended myself ?!?

The noise could be caused by backlash of the drive train rapidly pushed one way and back. I suspect a combination of that at the exact time as the engine stop/start (which maybe caused the backlash whiplash) and brakes grabbing all created the illusion of being bumped. Someone else posted...
  15. Rear ended myself ?!?

Roll back was possible there, but isn't that feature really for manual transmission? In any case there is a place I do a maneuver to turn around where I intentionally let it roll back, sometimes leaving it in drive and never experienced something like that.
  16. Rear ended myself ?!?

Has automatic emergency braking too so it definitely can put on the brakes but it shouldn't have as nothing was there and I didn't see a warning for AEB.
  17. C&D manual Sasquatch 0-60 7.4 sec

Well that semi truck has a high intimidation factor and I bet people give it room once it starts moving. Just because my Grandmother's 1977 diesel rabbit with a 0 to 60 time of about 25 seconds (okay more like 17 seconds) was able to pull out in traffic doesn't mean better acceleration...
  18. C&D manual Sasquatch 0-60 7.4 sec

By today's standards not great, but compared to late 60's muscle car era, not bad at all. There were plenty of faster muscle car configurations that beat that, but the most common configurations sold were in that range or slower. My brother's 68 Chevelle SS could just barely break 8 seconds.
  19. Can you apply MY22-to-MY23 price protection on an "off the lot" car?

I don't have a definitive answer. It depends on how they handled the price protection for those rolled over from MY22 to MY23. After the MY21 to MY22 roll over Ford issued price protection (PP) certificates to those eligible for the MY21 PP. Those certificates were applied to the person and...
