I wonder if this variation is some combination of the 200+ accessories that are supposedly going to be available? I'd love to build my own frankenbronco depending on what's available in that catalog of accessories--if we ever get to see it....
Spitballing my ideal build off the top of my head:
Base 2-Door
2.7L Auto
Modular Bumper
Sasquatch
al la carte (that wonāt be possible):
Vinyl Seats
Rubber Floors
Heated Steering Wheel
Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror
Universal Garage Door Opener
Intelligent Access
Survey gave me a glimpse for sure. Iām hopping to get a peak at the 200 + accessories available with B&P. And what individual options from the mid/high/Lux packages are available al la carte, if any.
Contributing to the cause. I want B&P up for two reasons:
1. to help me finalize trim, package, and door configuration within my anticipated budget; and
2. so we can stop deciphering the word ābyā
Camry with three settings: a mile behind the car in front of you; two miles behind the car in front of you; and three miles behind the car in front of you. Simply put, it activates too soon. I have to manually adjust my speed because if I donāt, Iāll never get close enough to the car in front of...
But I do have manually adjust my speed when it starts slowing me down at the first appearance of another car in my lane. I either have to pull out to the outside lane way before I need or intend to, or...slow down behind the slower car in front of me and let the train of traffic in the outside...
I also live in a high traffic area, and Iāve never actually used ACC in those situations. Maybe I just donāt trust it to react quicker than I can in those low-speed, bumper-to-bumper, Iām following too close situations. Iāll have to give it a shot. My current car though, I envision it stopping...
Iām contemplating the Lux package for the heated steering wheel and the universal garage door opener alone. I love those two features.
I must be doing something wrong with Adaptive Cruise Control, because I have it now and I HATE it. I set the cruise at 55 (yeah right) and as I approach another...
Base, 2.7, manual, Sasquatch would be just about my perfect build, but since that isnāt available, Iāll spend the next three months spinning my wheels (see what I did there?) on trims and option packages.
Iāve preferred a manual transmission since I learned to drive it. With this application though, it would be a 2.7L EcoBoost that would be driving my decision on going Autoāfor now.
Oh, I like this approach.
Neighbor: āHey OC, is that the new Bronco I see in your driveway?āā
Me: āYes it is, just picked her up yesterday.ā
Neighbor: āSweet, how long did you have to wait for that?ā
Me: āWell, it seems like they announced it 10 years ago, but in reality, I only just reserved...
There is another thread on this already, but they shouldāve called it something other than āBase.ā A base Bronco and a base Wrangler are nowhere near the same level of trim when it comes to vehicles.
My point of view lessens a bit if you arenāt going Sasquatch, as you do get upgraded/bigger tires and wheels with the Big Bend. I think the Sasquatch pricing should take these tire/wheel options in consideration when moving from trim to trim, and maybe they will, but for now, itās fun to banter...
The ~$300 price difference between Outer Banks Lux and Black Diamond Sasquatch, would include the Mid Package in the Black Diamond. I like the idea of intelligent access, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, heated seats, and reverse sensing system (Iāve driven a car with the rear-camera and no lines...
Right, everyone has their own wants and needs. Iām simply discussing my thoughts after looking through all of the spreadsheets Iāve got going on.
I donāt go off-road either. My current daily driver is a Toyota Camry; and Iām still not interested in paying $5k for fog lights, window tint, and...
This has morphed into more of a conversation about trim level than the Mid Package and that wasnāt my intention. I see value in the Mid Package...in the Black Diamond trim. For me personally, I donāt see $5k value from Base to Big Bend just to get the Mid Package, so if I was dead-set on the...
