But, to drain it sanely with the factory plug, you twist it loose, then leave the plug in but tilt it a bit to let a reasonable stream of oil come out. Gotta do that for several minutes though.
This has been a problem for me for the last 15-20 years. I do the drive in regularly (my town has one of the last in the country). These days I just bring a battery powered smart speaker with an FM tuner. I don't go to the drive in for the ultimate A/V theatre experience, hah.
Plus, I don't...
Yup, only way to know it's done right is to do it yourself. How many lube places just slap in the cheapest oil they can get their hands on? How many just slap in a $0.50 cent shit filter even if you ask for premium service (then charge you 10-15 bucks for that filter)? How many take care not to...
Lots of owners have had these be low. The factory apparently doesn't "burp" the cooling system very well. Mine (not a raptor) was an inch or two (about a cup) below "min" after 5,000 miles. I would not worry there is some major problem because it's low, though it's good to check for leaks and...
In the 18 months I've had my Bronco, I've:
Been to Moab 2 times (3 day weekend each time)
Wheeled on several weekend getaways (summer/fall at ski resorts)
Wheeled a dozen times or so on trails around my local area.
So, about once a month.
All of those trips include "real" off roading (nothing...
My buddy and I removed my 2DR top together, and wrestled it though a door (turning it on its side) into my house. It's not too heavy, but awkward.
The 4 door top is lighter and smaller than the 2DR.
No visible damage to any of the three. Not even any hood collapse on the rear bronco where the jeep tire is or the jeep's roof there the front bronco's rear end is sitting on it. No way you get under another vehicle without severe damage to your front end.
All three vehicles are showroom...
All salesmen are inherently dishonest and pushy. It's part of the job description.
The only "trick" is you have to decide what you are willing to pay and be willing to walk away. Really, truly willing to walk away. Not "pretend to walk away" or "bluff about walking away" but truly ready to say...
No crazier than the untold number of SAS Broncos out there with $10k worth of offroad equipment (not to mention significantly higher gas, maintenance and repair costs) that will never see use and function only as an appearance package.
Yikes. I would definitely talk to an attorney, but if the driver that hit you didn't have enough insurance for this, they are probably too poor for you to be able to reasonably recover any damages in a civil suit. Unfortunately, winning a civil suit isn't even half the battle, you still have to...
Ugh. No shade on Caliber, but I would not want any vehicle that had been frame swapped by a body shop -- or well anyone that wasn't literally doing it every day. That's pretty much disassembling the entire vehicle and then putting it all back together. (no double they have expert mechanics do it...
When you're pretty much exhausted after 3 days of hard (for you) wheeling in Moab, take extra care when you get back in the vehicle after assessing an obstacle to ensure there is not an unseen obstacle right in front of your rig that you forgot about, because you were tired.
Or, that rock grew...
I've worked IT for several fortune 100 companies and some government organizations. I'm quite well aware of how the bureaucracy grinds away.
If one of my teams had waited to release information regarding a vulnerability or critical defect until we had a patch, we would have been sacked...
As I said in another reply: information should be released as soon as verified. It should not wait until a fix is also available. And, if you can schedule when a fix will be released, you already know what the problem is, or you have very dysfunctional management
There's no reason to delay an initial notification. I'm just saying additional information should be released as soon as it's verified -- not waiting until a "fix" is found. When a company can put a date out there saying when they'll have fix information, they already know what the problem is.
